I have been seeing Dr. Ta for about 5 years now for my annual well woman check ups. I have PCOS and she is someone I found through Zocdoc as a doctor who works with women to naturally balance their hormones. She has never pushed birth control on me the way many OBGYN in the past have. She’s consistently friendly, encouraging, and informative. She goes above and beyond to make her patients feel comfortable and relaxed. She asks questions and takes time to listen to any concerns you may have. I’ve never once felt like she was rushing through my appointment. In addition, everyone I’ve come in contact in the office, from the front desk all the way to the end of getting bloodwork, has been genuinely nice and upbeat. Highly recommend!

Dr. Lauren Ta was raised in California before moving to Louisiana, where she attended Louisiana State University – Baton Rouge and The LSU Medical Center in New Orleans. She completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston and is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Harris County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and Vietnamese American Medical Association. Dr. Ta is fluent in both English and Vietnamese, and her interest include general obstetrics and gynecology, gynecologic surgery and age management with natural (bioidentical) hormone replacement therapy. She frequently gives presentations on stress, hormones and nutrition. Being a working mother with 2 small children has driven her a passion for helping people incorporate wellness and nutrition into their busy, multi-tasking lives. She is on staff at Memorial Hermann Hospital and Park Plaza Hospital in Houston.

I started going to Dr. Ta when I lived about 10 minutes from her office. When I moved 40 minutes away I couldn't bear to part with her. She delivered my baby girl a little over a year ago and I gladly made the drive for all of my prenatal appointments. She's that awesome!
She is incredibly knowledgable and always explains things really well without "dumbing it down" but still in a way that's easy for non-medical people to understand. I know I am in great hands with Dr. Ta.

Dr. Ta far exceeded my expectations. For one, I was called back right at my appointment time which has never happened to me at any Dr.'s office. I only waited about 5 minutes in the room (Wow!) before she came in and she was so friendly. I did not feel rushed. She asked questions, sat down in the chair and was very attentive with me. She was very quick and efficient and still so nice at the same time. I would recommend Dr. Ta to anyone looking for a doctor. I also recommend filling out the paperwork online before you go, it makes everything so much faster.

Dr Ta is fantastic. The medical assistant or nurse (whichever she was) was not friendly, but Dr Ta more than made up for that. Dr Ta was very personable, friendly, thorough, and comforting. She made me feel like I was in good hands.

Visiting the gynecologist is definitely NOT one of my favorite things to do. This visit was no worse than any other I've had to endure, but absolutely better than some.
It wasn't creepy at all and Dr. Ta was very professional.

I did not visit Dr. Ta for an annual visit, it was for a short consultation for a possible UTI. The wait was super long and was re-scheduled a couple of times. My previous doctor was able to give me results on urine within the day, it took them about 4 days to call me back to let me know it was an infection.

They didn't have my 11:00 a.m.appt. in the system when I arrived but were able to find it and print out my paper work. Taken back to the exam room at 11:10 a.m. and I sat in my gown until 12:10 p.m. waiting for my well woman checkup.The nurse never came in to give me an update or explain the long wait. I finally opened the door and asked if I should get dressed and re-schedule my appt. She advised against it and I told her I could only wait 10 more minutes because I had to be somewhere. The Dr. came in a few minutes later, apologized for the wait, did my exam in less than five minutes. This was my first visit and I chose this office due to its proximity to where I live. Not sure I will go back next year for my yearly exam due to the wait time and not being given updates on why I had to wait so long.

Friendly, attentive, competent doctor. Staff was pleasant, but I waited 2 hours to be seen, and then my Rx was not called into my pharmacy. When I called to ask about it, I had to leave a VM for the nurse, and couldn't get ahold of anyone in person. I think they are understaffed and/or not great at scheduling.

I enjoy seeing her because the actual exam is quick and painless, not like previous pap smears I've had. But I kind of wish I didn't have to sit for nearly an hour in a cold room with only a robe on....I'd rather wait in the lobby until it's actually time for me to be seen.

I had a good experience with the doctor herself, but her assistants weren't very nice. Supposedly they verified my insurance before my appointment and then a month later I got charged a huge chuck of the cost for the appointment because she turned out to be out of my network....Really frustrating since I would have otherwise not paid anything for the treatment.

Going to see Dr. Ta was the best experience I have had in a doctor's office in a very long time. While I did have to wait for a considerable amount of time, when she did see me, I felt like she listened, didn't interrupt me, asking appropriate questions, and genuinely cared about me. Not only did she act appropriately during the appointment, but she herself called me a week later to check in on me. Sadly, I feel like the art of doctor-patient relationships has been lost over the years, but not so with Dr. Ta. Highly recommend!
