Absolutely wonderful visit. The staff was incredibly friendly and Dr Winter couldn’t have been nicer during a very thorough annual well-visit. My daughter was nervous going to a new Dr but was all smiles when leaving the office. I highly recommend Dr Winter and this office.

Dr. Lauren Winter attended medical school at Albany Medical College, and matched in Pediatrics at her #1 choice, Tufts Floating Hospital for Children. During her residency she was fortunate to get her primary care training right here at Porter Pediatrics. She knows the patients and the practice well and is very excited to start on full time!
Upon graduation from her Pediatrics residency, she was awarded New England Quality Care Alliance (NEQCA) Award which was given to a resident who exemplifies the spirit of primary care. She is passionate about primary care and preventative medicine. Prior to medical school she was active in clinical research at the George Washington University Hospital, in Washington, DC. For college, she attended Northeastern University here in Boston, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Finance.
She loves living in Boston, where she enjoys trying new restaurants, and seeing live music. But growing up in Lake Placid, NY, Home of the 1980 Winter Olympics and heart of the Adirondack Mountains, she also enjoys adventures away from the city, including skiing and hiking.

Dr.Winter was very communicative, with us and my teen daughter. She gave some good and relevant advice. We went for my daughter's physical for school registration, and she was very helpful with getting the records we needed.

Going to a pediatrician last minute can be intimidating, especially with my large, loud crew, but everyone, from the front desk to the nurses to the doctor, was lovely and kind and knowledgeable. We’ve been to a lot of pediatricians and some make you wonder if they even like kids, not the case here. And this is coming from a family that considered driving 8 hours with 6 kids to visit our favorite Dr in DC. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Dr. Winter was exceptional, a good listener, a great communicator, and patient getting to know my son. My son is on the Autism Spectrum and I was so glad Dr. Winter was kind and understanding when he would get a little anxious. However, she was very friendly and made him feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole appointment. :)
