Hello, my name is Lavern Mair, R.N., BSN, MSN, PMHNP-BC, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care. With over 25 years of experience in nursing and behavioral health, I have had the privilege of working with individuals across the lifespan, helping them navigate their mental health challenges and improve their overall well-being.
I earned my Associate's degree from Broward Community College, my Bachelor's degree from Broward College, and my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Walden University. I hold board certifications in Florida and New York as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Throughout my career, I have worked in various healthcare settings, including outpatient psychiatry, behavioral health hospitals, substance use treatment centers, and telehealth services. My experience has given me a deep understanding of how mental and physical health are interconnected.
I take a holistic and evidence-based approach to care, focusing on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning to meet the unique needs of each patient. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take charge of their mental health.

I needed a prescription refill, and Lavern made the process super quick and easy. After listening to me she send my medication to the pharmacy right away and checked in on how I was feeling. It’s refreshing to work with someone so caring and responsive.
