I have only visited Dr Kahn three times. Each visit was very well conducted, fully professional and very thorough. The office staff are pleasant, polite, and efficient. I fully recommend this practice for a competent and professional experience.

Dr. Lawrence S. Kahn has been in private practice in Mesa/Gilbert, Arizona since 1985. He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract and Refractive surgery. He has been voted Top Doctor in Phoenix Magazine for 2005.
After graduating with honors from the University of New Mexico, he went on to receive his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Kahn trained as a resident in Ophthalmology at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Kahn is a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Diplomat of the International College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Arizona Ophthalmology Society and the Phoenix Ophthalmology Society.
A valued part of Dr. Kahn's practice is Refractive Surgery. Keeping abreast of all advances in the field, he has pursued further education with courses, training and certification in PRK, LASIK and Wavefront technology. Dr. Kahn derives a lot of pleasure and satisfaction from the successful surgical outcome of his patients. Dr. Kahn has performed over 3000 LASIK procedures, including 16 eye doctors and 70 regular physicians and their families.
Four days per year since 1986, Dr. Kahn has donated his services to Arizona Medical Eye Unit providing ophthalmologic care to indigent rural Arizona.
Dr. Kahn enjoys family, bike riding, weight training, snow skiing, tennis, camping and travel.

The staff was amazing, but I was a bit less than impressed with Dr. Kahn. He seemed preoccupied and a bit flakey. I didn't feel like he listened at all and his Ophthalmic Tech did most of the exam. I waited over an hour, but my time with the doctor was less than 5 minutes.
