I have been seeing Dr. Miller for almost 30 years now. He has always been kind and engaging, as well as effecient with his exams. He happily answers any questions with straight forward answers and provides explanations for multiple options to follow. He gave me wonderful pre-natal care and delivered both of my children, now ages 10 and 17. I highly recommend Dr. Lawrence Miller to take care of your OBGYN needs.

Dr. Lawrence G. Miller III grew up in the Richmond, Virginia area. After graduating from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in commerce, he began the pursuit of a career in medicine. He continued his studies in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Virginia and received his Doctoral Degree from the Medical College of Virginia (now Virginia Commonwealth University), where he also completed his OB/GYN residency. Dr. Miller is Board Certified with the American Board of OB/GYN and also did post doctoral training with the Institute of Functional Medicine. He has advanced laparoscopic training in laser technology and is a Da Vinci Robotic surgeon.
Initially joining one of Richmond’s premier group practices, Dr. Miller soon established his solo practice, which quickly grew to prominence specializing in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Infertility, Preconception, Functional Medicine, Gynecological Surgery, minimally invasive surgery and Robotic surgery. Primarily affiliated with HCA Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, where he served as a Board member, Dr. Miller is also on staff at Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital and the Parham Outpatient Surgery Center, where he also serves as the Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee.
Dr. Miller has delivered over 7,000 babies throughout his career and has been recognized by Henrico Doctors Hospital for his outstanding record. “Delivering babies is incredibly rewarding. As a physician, I love being involved in one of the most important and memorable times in a woman’s life.”

The wait was not an issue for me due to the doctor having unscheduled baby deliveries that occurred. He was very attentive, thoroughly listened to my health concerns, and informative about the best way to move forward. He was very friendly and easy going.

This was my first visit with Lawrence Miller, MD and I was pleasantly surprised; he has an outstanding bedside manner! He spoke to me before my exam about the issue I was having which put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. What would have made this visit even better is if his assisting nurse was as warm and inviting as Dr. Miller. I felt her attitude was very cold and uncaring... Nevertheless this will not stop me from seeking further appointments with Dr Miller. Thank You for your caring spirit!!

Finally, someone who listens and gets facts! I've been everywhere trying to find someone who will work with my thyroid problem. Doctor Miller got the right tests run, (panel blood test for all my hormones and gluten sensitivity), had a follow consultation and now I'm on my way to recovery. About time a doctor listened to my problems, got the facts (tests run) and prescribed me the right mess! Yes! Yes! Yes!

I have been a patient of Dr.Miller for 28yrs. I refuse to see anyone else. He delivered my children & performed my surgical procedures himself instead of referring me to someone else. I always felt safe & secure each time because I knew I was getting the very best care and he would be the first person I would see when I woke up instead of a stranger. Dr. Miller never rushes his patients & will answer all of your questions & makes sure his patients understand. I referred my elderly mother to him & he treated her like a queen. There is not enough stars to rate Dr. Miller on bedside manner. Even if I had to wait a long period of time, that alone is worth the wait.

Appointment was for annual exam and consultation; front desk confirmed this at check in. However, after the consultation, Dr. Miller thought I was done so I had to inform him that I was scheduled for an annual exam as well. After a moment of surprise yet with absolute grace, Dr. Miller escorted me to the examination room for the annual exam. Clearly a mix up between front desk and individual who escorted me to the consultation room. Individual who escorted me to consultation room later questioned me as to if I made the appointment for an annual exam...I did not appreciate this. Dr. Miller was great; support staff...not so much!
