Lawrence Starin, MD, FACS was born in New York City and raised in its surrounding suburbs. He is a Magna cum Laude graduate of Brown University where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He completed medical school at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University. Dr. Starin then spent five years as a resident in general surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York City, followed by one year as a fellow in the department of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
