Lela Lankerani, D.O. received her undergraduate degree in Biology at Washington University where she graduated cum laude. Dr. Lankerani completed medical school at Midwestern University, then she completed her residency at Frankford Hospital-Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania where she served as Chief Resident of Dermatology.
Prior to residency, she was involved in psoriasis clinical trials at Cleveland University Hospitals Case Medical Center. Dr. Lankerani has published articles in several scientific journals and has presented at national scholarly meetings including the American Academy of Dermatology and American Osteopathic Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Lankerani’s professional interests include adult and pediatric medical dermatology, skin cancer treatment, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Lankerani is a Fellow of Dermatology and Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and American Osteopathic Association, Texas Medical Association, and Travis County Medical Society. She was selected as a “Texas Super Doctor Rising Star” in Texas Monthly magazine in 2015 and 2016, and “Texas Super Doctor” in 2018 in the category of Dermatology.
