Drawing on his years of clinical experience, along with his teaching and clinical supervision work, Dr. Mickey Fenzel creates a therapeutic environment in which all clients are met with compassion and acceptance. He tailors therapy to meet the particular needs of his clients and helps them along the path of problem resolution and growth. He makes use of principles of Cognitive Behavioral, Client-Centered, Mindfulness-based, religious- and spiritually integrated therapies, and Motivational Interviewing. He welcomes adults, young and old, from all walks of life.
Mickey is a licensed psychologist with a M.A. in Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology. He taught at Loyola University Maryland for over 30 years, with the last several in the Pastoral Counseling Department, and has over 20 years of clinical experience. He is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher with experience bringing mindfulness to educational, community, and prison contexts.
