I have been a patient of Dr. Zimmerman for a long time. . My experiences have always been positive and he has made a significant difference in my lifelong battle with arthritis. Always gave good advice along with the best medical care and he will be sorely missed.

After completing his undergraduate degree in biology and medical school training at New York University and New York Medical College respectively, Dr. Zimmerman knew that family practice was his passion. He went on to complete his medical internship at the Metropolitan Hospital of New York, his residency at the U.S. Public Health Services office in Miami, and founded South Dade Primary Care in 1972. He is a Board of Family Practice certified physician who has also held the position of Chief of Department of Family Practice at South Miami Hospital.
During his 45 years of family practice in South Dade, Dr. Zimmerman has enjoyed providing care to multi-generations of family members; grandparents, parents, and kids. He takes a holistic approach to the delivery of care, with a deep understanding that mental health is a significant component of overall physical health. He is a published author whose book is titled, “Connection – A Natural View of Spirituality.”
