Dr. Max is the BEST!!! She takes her time with her patients, and always has their best interest at heart. She's not the type of physician where you're waiting forever and your visit it 10 minutes, I LOVE THAT!!! She always explains everything thoroughly too. I wasn't comfortable with the pediatrician my daughter had for her first two months of life. I desperately wanted to find another doctor. I found Dr. Max while doing a Google search, and I don't regret my decision one bit! I would recommend her to EVERYONE looking for a pediatrician.

Dr. Leonore Max is an awesome pediatrician. She truly cares about kids and it shows in the time she spends and the advice she gives. She listens to every question and answers them THOROUGHLY, even with examples and suggestions. Only issue is the wait time. She takes her time with every patient and that can cause you to have to wait.

I love Dr. Max, she gives great advice approaches in dealing with my sons tantrums, redirecting his attention and helping him progress into a healthy boy. He has been going to Dr Max since he wAs 9 months old , he is currently 16months old. She is extremely well informed and very informative. Im happy that we found her. Wife and I took our son (2yo) to Dr. Max, and we both agreed she was so great, we took our 4yo girl there as well. Even though we had to drive which is one of those things people in NYC dont want to have to do, it was well worth the effort. We have a new doc! We and the kids loved her. Very accomodating, asks lots of questions, listened to all of ours, and was extremely patient. We've been to other doctors who are quick to prescribe drugs for anything, but Dr. Max erred more on the side of other measures before drugs.

Dr. Max is a warm and competent doctor. She is very thorough, and she takes the time to make sure we understand what is happening during the visit. I am especially pleased with her treatment of my 16 year old daughter, who might very well be uncomfortable visiting a pediatrician. I feel no need to move my daughter's care to an adult internist.

As always, I was impressed with Dr. Max's friendliness, professionalism, caring, and attention to detail. One of the things I like best is that she is open to new ideas and methods, but shares her expertise and gives thoughtful opinions and advice. We like her so much, we continued to see her even when our insurance wouldn't add her to our HMO - and then her office ended up working (successfully) to get added to the plan! She is a truly excellent pediatrician.
And though she is the first to say that she sometimes gets behind on appointments due to her in-depth style, she has made an effort at each of our appointments to keep herself on schedule in consideration of the next patient, without making me feel rushed. That's more than I can say for any previous doctors! We just schedule early in the day, and I've never waited more than ten minutes.

Dr. Max is a great listener and shows a lot of care and attention to not only the issues, but to my concerns and ideas for treatments. She has admitted that thoroughness is her strength, almost to a fault, which is evident by the very long waiting time to see her. She is so thorough that her appointments often run over an hour late. So, just plan to sit a while, bring books and snacks for the kids. She is very open to holistic, eastern and alternatives to medicine to treat any issues which is a plus.
