Leslie M. Sims, MSPH, MD, FAAO is a board certified surgeon specializing in Ophthalmic Plastic surgery and the founder of The Sims Center LV for Eyelid and Facial Aesthetics. She is trained to perform many different types of eyelid and facial surgery, ranging from simple eyelid malpositions to more complex reconstructive surgery. As an Oculo-Facial surgeon, Dr. Sims has completed additional training in plastic surgery as it relates to the eyelids and surrounding structures. She is one of only 500 fellowship trained practitioners in the country.
With over 15 years of experience and an emphasis on patient safety and results, Dr. Sims provides quality and innovative reconstructive and aesthetic surgical and minimally invasive procedures of the eyelids and surrounding facial structures with little to no downtime.
The eyelids and surrounding areas are extremely complex and delicate structures that are vital to the preservation of sight and are important features of a normal facial appearance. Since surgery in this area can affect one's ability to see, Dr. Sims is uniquely qualified to perform this delicate surgery and to provide care the eye itself may need. Dr. Sims believes a doctor must be knowledgeable, skillful and confident, but above all trustworthy.
Patients visiting Dr. Sims can receive a full range of ophthalmic services. She provides general eye consultations and treatment of eye emergencies. Dr. Sims is active in many community and health organizations. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Sims enjoys Pilates, bike riding, trying new recipes, and spending time with her family.
