Repeatedly named as a leading geriatrician in Westchester, Dr. Pousada established Hudson Valley Internal Medicine & Geriatrics in 2002 to provide superior primary care to both adults and elders .
Dr. Pousada's vision was to create a warm, inviting medical office in which modern technology could be applied using the traditional doctor-patient relationship.
Initially a small, boutique-like office, the practice has grown to a full-fledged, multi-purpose site with many services, including physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, personal training, and an on-site pharmacy. The Hudson Face program includes laser skin rejuvenation, laser hair removal, and facial aesthetic treatments including Botox, Restylane and other dermal fillers.
HVIMG is affiliated with Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, and Dr. Pousada is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. The practice is affiliated with numerous assisted living facilities, senior housing units, and local nursing homes.In addition, our original commitment to house calls for home-bound elders has been expanded to include evening and weekend hours.
Dr. Pousada is herself an active member of the Briarcliff Manor community. A resident of Briarcliff Manor for the past 16 years, she resides with her husband, prominent trial attorney James P. Kreindler, and their five daughters.
Her interests outside of medicine include painting, sculpting, playing classical piano, following an aerobic and muscle strengthening exercise regimen, and practicing yoga as well as ballroom dancing with her husband.
Dr. Pousada believes in practicing what she preaches, as many of her patients can attest. She plans to live a very long life and enjoy every minute possible.
