Linda Bostrom, ANP/ACNP joined the MFA Division of Cardiology in 2013. She received a BSN at Western Connecticut University in 1980. Linda earned a Master of Arts degree in Nursing Education graduating from New York University in 1983. She joined the Washington Hospital Center surgical ICU working with critically ill patients including heart transplants and the first LVAD patients in the Washington D.C. area. In 1995, she joined INOVA Alexandria Hospital as a nurse practitioner managing cardiothoracic post-operative patients within the in-patient setting. For more than ten years she practiced in-patient cardiovascular medicine for a large cardiology practice within the INOVA system and Reston hospital. In 2010 she shifted to Internal Medicine and practiced at INOVA Loudoun Hospital as a hospitalist. With more than thirty five years of nursing experience she is currently focused on helping heart failure patients relieve symptoms and improve quality of life, slow disease progression and reduce the need for emergency room visits and hospitalization within the Advanced Heart Failure Program. In her spare time, Linda loves the outdoors frequently found gardening, skiing in the winter and hiking/traveling once the weather warms.
