Dr. T delivered my daughter and also provided me compassionate care when diagnosing a miscarriage with my second pregnancy 10 months later. I have seen her several times and love her bedside manner.

Born in Managua, Nicaragua, Dr. Tijerino is fluent in both Spanish and English. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in General Biology. She attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine and received her Medical Doctorate in May of 1998. Dr. Tijerino completed her Obstetric and Gynecology Residency at Bayfront Health – St. Petersburg in 2002 and went into private practice at Women’s Care Florida.

I have just been blessed with our 3rd child. All the DR’s @ Women’s care Florida were amazing! I really appreciate how thorough and open Dr. Tijerino & Dr Wouters were with discussing their plan of care for my complicated pregnancy. They allowed me to ask questions and discuss their plan of care so that I felt comfortable and confident in the care I was receiving. The extra time they spent explaining what was in my baby’s best and my best health plan made all the difference. My 3rd baby delivered C- Section, however this experience was by far superior in every way! Dr. Wouters was very kind and compassionate, she held me for my spinal. Made sure I was comfortable before starting my C-Section & her surgical skill fantastic! The added On-Q pain pump made my post op experience 100xs better; I was able to walk within hours... When I needed a Dr after hours, Dr Diner called me back within minutes and addressed my issues kindly and professionally. I highly recommend this group, they were fantastic!

I have been going to Women’s Care Florida for five years. I am continually happy with my experiences there. Staff is always nice and friendly. Dr. Tijerino takes very good care of me and Dr. Long was very thorough regarding surgical options for me. I highly recommend this practice.
