Originally trained as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in the UK, Lindsay brings vast experience to patient care. She trained in a large obstetric teaching hospital with its own low-risk birthing center. Her patient population was varied and included incarcerated women. She moved to the US in 2015 and interned as a home birth midwife in NYC, attending births in all five boroughs plus Westchester and Rockland counties. Lindsay relocated to Atlanta to complete her master’s degree in Women’s Health at Emory University. She remained there for a year after, taking up a clinical instructor post, teaching obstetrics at the master’s level and forensic nursing to undergraduates. While she was training, Lindsay worked on a research project with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) educating young girls on the benefits of dual contraception and spent time with new moms caring for their newborns overnight at home. Lindsay has a holistic view of healthcare and strives to put emphasis on wellness, education and teaching while working with women and supporting them to make informed decisions about all their healthcare choices. She lives in Long Island with her husband, Sam, and their 3 year old son, Max.

Lindsay Hansen and her assistant Shelly were both so kind and had excellent bedside manner. I have had mixed experiences at previous obgyns in the past and have been searching for a provider that takes time with their patients and truly listens. Lindsay is without a doubt that person, I am so happy to have found her office. Shelly was so helpful and kind from the time I scheduled my appointment until I was sitting in the office. I cannot recommend them both enough!!

Doctor and nurse were very rude. The doctor was refusing to see me because I had my annual with another doctor that year. I had to explain and insiste to the nurse that I really needed that appointment because of an urgent health concern and that at the same time I was looking for a new doctor closer to home. After many back and forth the doctor decided to come in to talk to me. The doctor was also rude and rushed to finish the appointment. I didn't fell she was listening to me. After I got my test result back I was left with so many questions that I decided to schedule another appointment. The office called me several times asking me why I needed that visit and again I had to explain and justify it. Ultimately I gave up because of the humiliation. I do not recommend this doctor at all.

I highly recommend Lindsay Hansen NP. I had been nervous of the pain of an annual as to why I put it off for so long. I told her many things she listened GREATLY and recommended things other than an rx. A more natural approach which made me happy. She walked me through the placement of the speculum and the brushing for the pap. Wonderful experience on a whole the office staff the cleanliness and the bedside manner. 10/10
