Dr. Markman is great. However, I had a very bad experience with the phlebotomist in her office.
Had a nice experience as a first time patient. The staff was friendly and I was seen right away. Dr. Markman was professional and informative.
Dr. Markman was great! She was pleasant, provided information that was helpful about treatment options, next steps and tests needed. It was a refreshing experience.
Dr. Markman was lovely, professional and made me feel at ease. Great experience!
Dr. Lisa Markman is a good doctor. She explained things to me in layman's terms and was responsive to each question I asked.
I've had gestational diabetes and went to Markman to check on some strange swings I've been having. I prefer docs who are quick and on time, so I went to her, but she was pretty unhelpful. Avoided my questions and handed me a nutritionist's card. Told me to get a blood test at my next physical. I told her I was ready to get one right then, so she then went and grabbed the phlebotomist. Then headed out and asked her co-workers "who's ready for lunch?"
Dr. Markman seems like a diligent medical provider. Her office seems clean and well-run. However, her staff at the front desk are pretty awful. They're rude, short, and just overall unpleasant to work with.
Dr Markman is great and her staff is efficient and kind! Had an insurance issue and they not only handled it, they apologized for the inconvenience (not really their fault)!
I had been trying to get an appointment with Dr. Markman for a while...she was well worth the wait!!!
My appointment went very well with Dr. Markman. She made me feel at ease about my illness. She looked at all of my paperwork and answered all of my questions with no hesitation.
Very professional. Came up with a revised treatment plan for me.
Very knowledgeable as far as I can tell, good results so far, in general, very busy so she didn't have a lot of time to spend, I've decided to continue to seeing her
Dr. Markman was thorough, asked the right questions and took measures to test and correct medication dosages.
This is my first visit with Dr. Markman. She was very pleasant, focus, polite, great bedside manner. She listened to my questions patiently and answered them in great details. I'm happy to have her as my doctor.
Excellent appointment. Dr. Markman asked a lot of questions, listened, and made the appropriate follow up. This is why I love women doctors!
Doctor is so friendly, quick on diagnosis, involves into brief and to-the-point conversion. Nursing staff and facility is excellent. Front-office staff was okay. Overall great experience.
I have diabetes, and I admittedly haven't been taking great care of myself. I came to her to tell her I want to turn my life around and do better than I have been doing, and that I wanted to get a Dexcom sensor to help. She made me feel small and stupid for everything I said and for the fact that I haven't taken good care of myself lately. She even implied a Dexcom might not be worth my time or money since I do such a bad job with my diabetes. Left feeling very depressed and lost all the motivation I'd had to get better. I had even put in my medical issues that I suffer from anxiety and depression. :(
Dr. Markman was courteous and knowledgeable, and I felt that the entire visit was very efficient without feeling hurried. I was particularly impressed that she took the time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis, as well as possible next steps.
She's wonderful. I never have to wait and she is always helpful.
Dr. Markman was thoughtful, listened, and talked to me in depth about my symptoms and what they likely meant/indicated. Very thorough, fantastic bedside manner. She personally left me a voicemail regarding test results and details. I highly recommend her!
Dr. Markman was very professional. Dr. Markman was very informative and very understanding and explaining everything to me.I would recommend her for anyone to see her she's quite knowledgeable
Was very thoughtful and thorough, gave examples and stats which was very helpful. Didn't rush anything. I felt in good hands.
everyone was friendly and efficient. They were ready for me at my appointment time. The office was clean and organized. The paperwork process was simple and streamlined. Lisa Markman was professional
Great doctor. Very knowledgeable, up to the point, willing to work with you.!
Dr Markman was absolutely unhelpful and dismissive to the problems I shared with her. She did nothing to address or find the root cause of my issues and quite often rushed our sessions. Going to her for the last few months proved to be a colossal waste of time.
Extremely thorough & patient .
Dr Markman would be a good doctor to see if your diabetes was under control and you were just checking in, renewing scripts etc. she's knowledgable and to the point. if your disease is out of control and you have actual issues you want to work on, go elsewhere. I've seen her about 6 times and never had an appointment longer than 5 minutes. Each time I waited in the waiting room far past my appointment time, and then got a very hurried appointment. If I expressed any anxieties about my illness she would ask if I was "taking antidepressants yet" which I felt was inappropriate. Most egregious though was The fact that she went on leave without scheduling a doc who could renew prescriptions for her while she's away. Now I have to find a new doc, pay a new copay, take time off work etc just to get my insulin prescription. When I do find that new doc, I certainly will be staying with him/her for my care from now on.
Dr. Markman is the very best! Period. I am extremely happy with her. During times when I had an emergency and was not able to see her in person, she was always available to take my call and tell me what I should do. I like the fact that she is very knowledgeable and supportive. I am glad I found her!
I was recommended to go an endocrinologist by my dermatologist because of a skin issue that could be a result of an underlying endocrine disorder. Right away, Dr. Markman was quick to say my dermatologist was wrong and this issue could not be related to an endocrine disorder. However, she would run tests anyways. The tests came back inconclusive. I went back to my dermatologist about a year later and he strongly recommended I get another opinion ,so I went to a different endocrinologist. They discovered the underlying issue within days. My skin issue has since been resolved. I wonder if she was not so quick to dismiss my dermatologist's opinion if this could have been solved a year ago....
I was very impressed she told me alot about my condition that i did not know i will highly recommend her. Thank you much.
Not crazy about this practice. The front desk staff is off-putting. Dr. Markman is friendly but I always feel like my appointments are super rushed. Don't think she's ever spent more than two minutes with me. Which is kind of discouraging when you've spent 25 minutes in the waiting room.
She is straightforward and honest. Listened to me and had thoughtful and collaborative suggestions for treating my hypothyroidism. I'm so happy to have her as my endocrinologis
Efficient, professional, listened, took time talk.
She was fantastic. I never wait more than 2 minutes, everyone is very friendly, and I was in and out within 15 minutes.
Very caring and understanding.
Above and beyond met my expectations! Dr. Markman is a brilliant endocrinologist with whom you can trust!
Dr Markman was great. Very friendly and thoroughly explained the course of treatment. I definitely recommend her, excellent endocrinologist.
Her knowledge and confidence was absolutely settling during a time of nervousness. She took the time to accurately address my concerns, provide thorough outlook for any possibilities, and made herself available if I had additional questions.
Please beware that this office charges a hefty fee for cancellations if they are made within 48 hours of the appointment. That information is not on the profile and should be.
Quick, easy and on point. Even referred me to another doctor for additional tests.
My first visit Dr. Markman was very attentive and spent more time with me than what I had expected (and more than what my GP has). She listened to all of my feedback about symptoms and was able to provide solutions and options. Very helpful - glad I found her! :)
She was direct and informative, answered questions and gave logical explanations.
Dr. Markman is consistently professional, very knowledgable, and compassionate.
Dr. was pleasant, but I was shocked at how little time she spent with me - probably less than two minutes, and I'm a new patient.
The doctor appeared confident and well prepared. She was personable and clear in her explanations.
I loved meeting Dr. Markman and I am glad I chose her! She diagnosed my condition and cause and had a treatment plan in place all with a two week period. Treatments were successful and no I am seeing her for routine follow up appointments. She is knowledgeable about her field, caring for her clients, returns calls in a timely manner and office staff is a pleasure to work with.
Very knowledgeable and refreshingly candid.
No wait! Professional staff - from the reception to the nurses are all really well trained and polite.
It's hard to describe the relief and how I felt a weight being lift off my shoulders. I received straight forward answers, concise and clear information and instructions. She is an angel. I came to her because I desperately needed to switch endocrinologists and I couldn't have come across a better one. The staff at the front were very clear as to what to expect and the forms to fill out. Dr. Markman carefully reviewed my latest labs that went over 7 months back. She helped me make sense of the results that had information that previously had not been addressed by my former provider. I will definitely recommend her.
I was seen instantly, nurses were great, a bit rushed but efficient.
Smart & straightforward doctor who asked good questions, quickly made an unexpected and sensible diagnosis, suggested a course of treatment involving several different components, and listened to & answered all questions about it. Given the realtiies of managed care and docs appts schedules in light of it, she made excellent use of the short appt time and was personable in the process. Busy office staff were also efficient and friendly.
Fairly curt and rude, definitely does not have good bedside manner. She seemed intelligent but not particularly thorough, wasn't interested in anything I had to say. Would not recommend.
She seems very direct but not kind or patient...very little bedside manner. I needed guidance and felt dismissed. I need to go back for follow up and hope that conversation goes better.
Great doctor. She's been treating me for a while. She has improved my condition and paid greater care to it than previous professionals.
She was extremely througho ad straight to the point which I loved. She did not waste of my time. She's a great doctor.
I went in for an endocrinology consult and Dr. Markman was straight forward and to the point. She did seem like she was in a rush when I tired to ask questions. Of course, she answered them but it seemed like the questions annoyed her if anything. As most others have stated she does seem very knowledgeable.
Dr. Markman is a wonderful physician. I traveled from south Jersey to see her and she was worth the trip. She exudes a confidence that I expect from a doctor (although is rarely seen), she is very knowledgable, thorough, and warm. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Markman is excellent. She is efficient, friendly and informative. Really like her
Very caring, took the time to discuss concerns I had with a drug therapy. I've been going to her for around a year and would highly recommend.
She's kind, personable and very knowledgeable. I was nervous and she was understanding. I look forward to working with her on my health goals.
Very informative for delicate subjects. The office is very nice. I will be back.
After reading all the reviews I was a bit disappointed with my visit. The whole visit seemed rushed, like they just wanted to get done with me and call the next patient. The doctor was nice but she didn't make any comments about anything I told her and I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask questions. She seems very knowledgeable though.
This doctor had zero bedside manner with absolutely no concern for your hearlth issue. She might be knowledgeable in her sphere of work, but I felt extremely rushed and had to ask all of my questions rather quickly. I will not be seeing her again.
It was very good. She saw me quickly and talked to me kindly. She's a great doctor.
Didn't really get anywhere
Lovely, kind doctor
Always a pleasure! Fast, courteous and friendly staff and doctor.
I was very pleased with the time Dr. Markman spent with me. She was very knowledgeable and her nurses and staff were very pleasant.
Dr. Markman is tremendously great at what she does. I would say the best way to describe her is as a doctor/detective. She's been able to help both my wife and myself with seemingly unrelated symptoms that we were each seeing several other doctors for. She is genuinely compassionate and her demeanor is always professional. Highly recommended!
Great visit - she is professional, efficient and the place is clean and pleasant. I also like that she didn't force me to return to get my test results and will call me with them unlike other doctors I've been to.
I found her very present, well informed, smart and patient.
She answered my questions and adjusted my medication. I was done within 15 minutes.
The staff is so friendly and Dr. Markman is very knowledgeable. I feel so comfortable in this office, and I trust Dr. Markman more than any other doctor I have dealt with for my thyroid issue.
She was knowledgeable and quick, but it was clear she was trying to get me in and out the door.
she listened, and immediately placed me on a regime that has lowered my blood sugar. The first in years, thank you Dr Markman even my primary is impressed.
I will not be going back to her.
I think she is a good doctor, gave me some advice on some issues I'm having. I will retain her as my new endoconologist.
I just want to note that if a doctor is on maternity leave, you should have someone covering your patients especially if your patients absolutely cannot live without their medication. I have contacted this office everyday from Dec 7-11, 2015 with no response or anyone getting back to me about renewing my prescription. On Dec 14th I finally found out the Dr. Markman was on maternity leave and that no one was covering her patients. I was informed that my GP was to contact them and my GP could prescribe the medication. My GP called 3 times that day and had no one respond to her. I called Dr. Markman's office again and tried to get someone to email/fax my records to my GP so that I could get a prescription. No one responded nor got me the prescription I needed before the holidays. I went for 3 weeks without my prescription. I had to find another doctor to help me. Today I get a phone call from Dr. Markman's office saying they renewed my prescription for 30 days. It's now Feb 2. How do you suppose I'm suppose to live without prescription from Dec to Feb? And the phone call was as if she was doing me a favor by giving me another 30 days before I make a visit. Thanks but no thanks. A little late don't you think? I have always had a great experience with Dr. Markman but the office is so disorganized. I will not be coming back to this office nor do I recommend Dr. Markman unless she has a better dedicated staff and support. I need a doctor I can rely on.
I was really happy with my time with Dr. Markman. She was very professional and considerate. She made me feel valued and I got a sense that she genuinely cared about my health care. I am thankful that doctors like this exist and I'm excited to continue working with her.
Great alternative suggestions very informative as well.
Working well with Dr Markman. Seeing results and feeling better for the first time in a very long time!
She's nice, but seemed frustrated about how much my blood sugar levels fluctuated over several days despite the same diet. I left feeling guilty instead of hopeful. Also, the front office people wouldn't always transfer calls. Sometimes I think having a diabetic endo. is better, since they understand how frustrating it is to the PATIENT.
The wait was longer than I'd like. She finished with her last patient right when my appointment was supposed to start, but sat in her office for another 20 minutes - not sure why. She was very good at explaining my condition and was very thorough about diagnosing me and letting me know what I should be doing next.
Out of all of the doctors I have been too she is the only one who actually listens to my medical problems and explains things to me.
Even though it was the end of the day, Dr. Markman took the time to explain things to me and was very friendly, kind and understanding. She didn't dismiss my concerns and recommended certain tests to alleviate my issues. She was great!
When I arrived, the office was busy but I barely had time to fill out my new patient forms before I was seen by the doctor! Dr. Markman was engaging and attentive. We discussed my medical history and then she had a nurse come in and run the standard tests. I received a follow up call with my test results by the end of the day. Over all it was a swift and delightful experience. I will continue to see Dr. Markman and us Zocdoc. 3 for 3!
Dr. Markman was really nice and is easy to talk to. The office is large and clean and wasn't overcrowded with waiting patients.
Good, very knowledgeable. Still in the beginning stages with her, but she answered all of my questions and made me feel more confident about what was going on than past doctors.
Dr. Markman was phenomenal. Very un-rushed, took time to explain details and used very careful (and much appreciated) positive language. She had a warm approachability and the office was welcoming. I have every intention of using her as my endocrinologist moving forward and recommending her to anyone who asks.
Dr. Markman comes through for me again! Lovely office staff and a great, thorough visit from Dr. Markman. I would recommend her to anyone.
Dr. Markman listened to me for about 30 minutes and asked relevant questions about my condition before determining what tests to perform. As a follow-up, she sent relevant info to my neurologist and called me to discuss options. She also referred me to a therapist and a rheumatologist, both of whom are excellent. I didn't have a thyroid problem, but she was able to help me figure out the direction I needed to go and was both caring and thorough. All medical doctors should be more like this!
very proffesional, explained y situation and what do do going foward
Very pleasant and professional...very thorough. Will see her again.
They did not take my insurance and first stand by the explanation that they never received notice from ZocDoc that I had UHC Empire plan... then backtracked and said the doctor was recently dropped from the plan..... then after I confirmed in the office while on the phone with Empire that she never was a participating provider, they said that they were working with Empire to get on the plan. I told them that the whole thing was ridiculous and that someone in their office, or the whole office, dropped the ball. After talking to the office administrator, they said they'd see me and expedite the coverage. The doctor was attentive, and well informed and not an alarmist type. Immediately gave me several instructions and told me to get a few tests before she said anything about a diagnosis.... all in all the office seems lazy and cold, but the doctor is awesome.
She was insensitive, didn't listen and condescending. I've never written a less than complementary review of any doctor but Dr. Markman was the most unpleasant medical experience I've had in New York.
I was really impressed by Dr. Markman. She was attentive and had a good attitude. I've had bad experiences with doctors in the past and when I brought that up, she asked what had happened and sympathized. She listened to my questions and was good at answering them in plain terms. At no point did she me make me feel bad about being overweight, which is pretty unusual for first visits to a new doctor. She spoke in plain terms and made me feel really comfortable. I was also impressed by her Nurse Baez, who got blood. She was the first nurse in years to get one of my veins on the first try and I loved that Dr. Markman stayed in the room while blood was drawn and helped. It seemed like they worked together really well. I look forward to continuing care under Dr. Markman and her staff.
She is thorough and professional, but businesslike, not warm. Her staff is efficient and pleasant to deal with. It will take some time until I know whether her diagnosis and treatment are accurate and effective.
She was very casually dressed (jeans and tee shirt) which threw me off a little but not objected to. I shared with her a lab I did with a holistic doctor (a DO) and she raised a lot of skepticism which was off-putting to me as a patient. With that said, she was a strong communicator and explained everything well. She referred me to a GI in her office which was done very quickly and I appreciated her follow through.
She was nice, friendly and I was in and out of her office quickly.
Very informative caring doctor. She is knowledgable and respects the patients decision making as part of the treatment.
After another doctor being concerned, I decided to go to Dr. Markman. She was pretty dismissive, asked a few questions and had me do some blood work. She had no suggestions about what else could be affecting me. When I looked down (too late), I realized the tech taking my blood didn't even have gloves on! So gross and that'll lead me to another blood test to make sure I didn't catch anything.
Very personable. When through some different options. After test results, will be putting plans discussed into action.
For a first appointment it went well. She was promp, professional, and willing to listen which at this point was the most I could ask for.
Dr. Markman was the best doctor I have seen in years. The visit with her was completely different than the typical rush-in, rush-out that most doctors do. She sat down, listened to everything I had to say (a lot of info), and then patiently answered any questions I had. After having my blood drawn, she came back into the room to advise me of next steps and to see me off. I was shocked in the very best way possible. I would also like to mention that reception and all support staff I encountered were wonderful, helpful and patient. I would definitely recommend Dr. Markman - you will be thoroughly impressed!
The doctor literally sat there with a pen and notebook and LISTENED! She was not quick to diagnose and prescribe she explained my options and made me feel at ease and eased my nerves. I look forward to future appts
She wasn't very friendly, maybe she was having a bad day?
She is not interested in patients with pre existent medical conditions. Her answer to many of my questions was "I dont know". I won't recommend her.
Since I was a new patient, she mostly listened during the appt, but she had a lot of ideas and was reassuring and open minded about everything we discussed.
She seemed to know what she was talking about, but I found her to be very cold. She didn't really seem to care about my issue or helping me resolve it beyond giving me medication and throwing me out the door. Would not recommend.
She was polite, thoughtful and sharp. Overall I thought she was great. Saahill
It was good
Shes down to earth and i feel comfortable telling her my issues. i'm glad i found such a great doctor. she really cares.
Granted, I visited Dr. Markman in 2013 (three years ago), but I've always meant to write a review. I saw her due to alopecia/hair loss, and I admitted that I was devastated from the experience, and that I was in therapy for it. all I remember from the appointment was this one thing she said to me, after I also told her I had been diagnosed with PCOS, she said "well at leas you don't have hair growing out of your face." Ahhhh! I am not super sensitive nor do I require people to speak with political correctness, but this was a ridiculous comment. It's so ridiculous that I'm not going to publish this result. I don't want to ruin her zocdoc career. I just hope she's learned some emotional intelligence since then.
She was professional and friendly- she took the time to explain her reasons for her medical recommendations and answer all my questions.
Dr. Markman was very punctual and her staff was professional and courteous. During the consultation, Dr. Markman listened to all of my concerns, asked engaged questions, and went out of her way to help me with a separate medical issue. I was really impressed, and I know I am in good hands at this practice.
Great bedside manner. Personable. Listens well. Explains things well. Pleasant vist.
She was compassionate and efficient. Answered all my questions.
Very informative. Took her time to answer all my questions.
She was very accommodating and gave me a great referal.
I went to visit Dr. Markman concerned about my thyroid. After being through many specialists who were knowledgable but not the warmest, Dr. Markman was an INCREDIBLE relief. She was compassionate, extremely informative and a serious ray of sunlight in what had been a exhausting road of being passed from doctor to doctor.
She was great. The front desk girl forgot to check me in and I was waiting over an hour before I asked again and was profusely apologized to and helped. Beyond frustrating to wait only to find out it was a front desk mistake but no issues once I met Dr. Markman.
It was very pleasant and easy to talk to her In fact I have another appt with her. I think I'm going to retain her as my endocrinology doctor. Thank you Zocdoc. I like to use your page So easy and have the appt right away.
Dr. Markman is a fantastic doctor. She listened to all of my concerns. She was very supportive and kind. I was put on the exact regime of medication I needed. She is highly recommended.
I felt at ease with Dr. Markman. I'm a nurse so it's not easy being a patient, especially when I was referred to see an endocrinologist for further prenatal follow-up. She's great at explaining what's going on and easy to talk to about further plans. I really appreciate her prompt call-backs for results. Highly recommendable.
Dr Markman is a great doctor. It is evident that she is an expert in her speciality on top of being very approachable and open to questions. She helped me understand my condition very well and was able to relate to my concerns. I recommend her as a top Endocrinologist!
My feelings about Dr. Markman are fairly neutral. I didn't find her particularly remarkable--good or bad--but I'm not overly enthusiastic to see her again. However, her office was very helpful in fixing a problem with my pharmacy.
Very understand and actually listened to my concerns. Highly recommend
I found Lisa Markman to be very personable, and unlike some doctors that I've seen, she engaged in an open dialog with me. The recommendations that she suggested, she explained each one thoroughly so that I understood everything. I will definitely see her again, and I've already recommended her to a friend of mine.
Great first appointment with Dr. Markman. She took the time to ask me a ton of questions and helped relieve a lot the concerns I had.
Very nice & understanding. Will return for follow up.
Dr. Markman is amazing. She is knowledgeable in her field and takes the time to talk to patients and answer questions. She also personally comes out to call patients from the waiting room, and called me personally to discuss lab results (rather than having a nurse call me to schedule an appointment to discuss). I found her to be very honest and focused on actually helping patients, which was a breath of fresh air in this city. I highly recommend her!
Dr. Markman is great! I'm expecting my first baby and Dr. Markman has provided excellent care for my hypothyroidism (a must when you're expecting and have thyroid disease). I see her monthly for checkups (I've gone 5x already), and she provides excellent care and insight every time. I will continue to see her to the end of my pregnancy, and will happily do so.
She's great always willing to answer all your questions and concerns
Very knowledgeable and very personable!
I just move to Nyc recently, that was my first time..
I went to this endocrinologist to get a second opinion and I am seriously considering switching over to her as my primary. She took the time to answer my many questions and helped me understand my condition much better.
Excellent - great doctor who really cares
She provided me with exactly the support and help that I needed and was willing to work with me on a regular basis to work on my goals, rather than sending me away and saying try harder and come back in 3 months. I am very satisfied.
Bright, professional, no nonsense demeanor. The doctor knows her medications and is on the ball. The office has many doctors, many desks, many ladies behind the desks and can be a little frustrating. Dr. Marksman is young and in touch with the latest medical advances. There is an air of pressure to move as fast as possible. Nothing warm fuzzy here.
Very knowledgeable with an updated perspective. 31 years as a type 1 diabetic and Dr Markman puts all my other endo's to shame.
The first visit was very pleasant, their offices are lovely. I hope to have a satisfactory follow up visit in the future because I would love to stick with this doctor.
I wish I had a medical need that required a return visit.
Not personable didn't take much concern or interest in my issues
She's knowledgable about endocrinology, and that made me happy. She didn't offer me her hand or introduce herself initially (she came to retrieve me from the waiting room, and I didn't realize she was the doctor because she didn't speak to me on the walk to the exam room). But I don't viist a doctor to make a new BFF. I've had a total thyroidectomy, and she hit all the right points about what I need to be doing to stay healthy. Happy to have found her.
Very to the point and efficient.
I was struck by the unfriendly receptionist, who did not even make eye contact with me, was grumpy, mistakenly tried to charge me a co-payment, and then didn't even apologize when she realized that she was wrong. People like her should not be working in a position where they have to interact with other people.
Fantastic, filled out forms, seen 10 minutes after scheduled app. time. Doc was great too.
Dr. Markman was friendly but the visit felt rushed. She personally call me with results and to follow up with me. It was confusing to figure out where to check in because there are different desks for different doctors and the desks aren't marked. The office staff was not very professional.
The doctor was quite professional! She made me feel comfortable from the first few seconds. She answered all questions, explained what she did and why, and what she will do. Highly recommended!!
Very thorough and professional. Took her time and listened. Excellent doctor.
She was very knowledgeable and thorough, picked up right away what i was trying to convey, and has a very calm demeanor that made me comfortable in explaining my symptoms. She followed up with a call to explain results and next steps. This was my first visit. I read the other reviews but still didn't really know what to expect, but came away really impressed. She's 100% better than my last doctor.
Friendly, responsive, professional, great bedside manner. Thanks again for all your help.
Loved Dr. Mark and I will highly recommend her to friends and family
The right mix of competence, professionalism and a personal approach
I was in the market for a new Endocrinologist. As an avid ZocDoc user, I used the site to identify Dr. Markman as my first stop in this endeavor. After 2 visits, Dr. Markman has provided me with a newfound confidence in medical professionals. She exudes knowledge and wisdom in a multitude of medical areas. Her explanation of my new plan of attic left me feeling more confident about my condition then I have in years. I highly recommend Dr Markman and will continue to see her in the future.
I really like Dr Markman. She seams to know her specialty very well. I liked that she called me personally to discuss my condition.
The office staff was very professional.
She seemed confused, disbelieving and annoyed by my description of my symptoms and what I had been told by previous doctors. But she did order up a full battery of tests and briefly explained what she wanted to test for. Personally I doubt I would go back to see anyone who seemed confused about what is wrong with me, but she saw me right on time and ordered the tests, so I'm sure she's a fine doctor.
I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to Dr. Markman. I have been seeing many doctors over the years for my the symptoms of my hormone imbalance. Right away I noticed a marked difference between her and other doctors. Dr. Markman came out herself to greet me and escorted me to her room where she saw me immediately (I did not see a nurse's or medical assistant) and sat me down to talk for at least 10 minutes (if not 15) before she checked my vitals and did a physical exam. Most of the appointment was me expressing my concerns. The end of the appointment was also helpful as she was able to give me a tentative diagnosis (PCOS), let me know what steps needed to make a final diagnosis (blood work), and explained what a treatment plan would look like for me. I left her office feeling listened to, and with a good idea of what steps would follow the visit. I will return.
Very friendly, intelligent and extremely patient. But I did not feel that she had a full grasp on the issue I was there to address
Articulates complex physiology using simple language; very engaged with the patient's questions and concerns.
Very professional, concerned, not a "rusher-out"- great doctor. Very recommended--
Dr. Markman was competent, but I wasn't sure she was what I was looking for, due to my complex needs (surgical menopause, prediabetes, multiple surgeries). I will certainly see her again to discuss the results of the bloodwork she ordered.
Very pleasant and professional. Explained her thought process well and gave plenty of advice.
Very personable, took time to listen to my concerns and scheduled follow-up.
Lisa saw me right away. She was knowledgeable about my condition and thoroughly described how we would treat it. I would recommend her to my closest family if they needed her expertise.
