Dr Yang seemed very good and answered all my questions. She also went out of her way to help me with things I wasn't specifically getting an exam for. Overall it was a very good experience and I will go back.

I was impressed with Dr. Yang's professionalism and ability to make me feel at ease. In addition she answered all my questions and explained the things going on with my eyes so I could understand and asked me if I was comfortable with the internet, which I am, and then gave me information to look up further information on my condition. I like that she respected my intelligence enough to make that suggestion!

Lisa Yang, MD, is an ophthalmologist who is proud to serve Anaheim from her private practice. She loves using her skills to help friends and family, and finds nothing more rewarding than performing cataract surgeries. “When people get their eye patch taken off and finally see clearly after being blind or vision-impaired, it's a wonderful, emotional experience and I love sharing that with them!” says Dr. Yang.
Dr. Yang first became interested in ophthalmology at the young age of 15, because as she says: “I was waiting for my glasses exam at my ophthalmologist's office. He happened to be one of the pioneers of cataract surgery using the new ultrasound technology, and I was fascinated with the videos of the surgeries that he played in the waiting room. I loved watching him transform a cloudy eye to a shiny, clear one. I decided that I wanted to do that, too!” But it was not until her time as an undergraduate at UCLA that Dr. Yang knew for certain that she wanted to become a doctor. She loved her major in biology but realized she wanted to help people and interact with them, and not be “stuck in a lab doing research.”
In her downtime, Dr. Yang plays piano in her church band, affectionately known as the "wacc pak," and sings in the choir. Truly involving herself in a little bit of everything, Dr. Yang enjoys indoor skydiving in a vertical wind tunnel at Universal Citywalk. As an undergraduate, she was in the UCLA Bruin marching band for 4 years in the color guard team. Aside from performing at all the home football games, her team received the Sudler Trophy and performed in a Rose Parade and Rose Bowl. Dr. Yang is happy to treat patients in three of her fluent languages.
