Verified Patient Reviews
Dr. Liza and her staff were gracious enough to let me make a 4:30PM appointment as a new patient. She is thorough, but to the point. I really appreciated the honesty along with the efficiency. Not to mention, I have anxiety with needles and she made the process of drawing blood very smooth.
Dr.Hasso has a another location that she practice out of that she educates interns, so the are present When I went for my visit it was 10 interns and she explains why they are there. but she also has her practice at Piedmont hospital.
Great doctor. Helpful students
The other reviews are pretty accurate. I waited almost two hours (which is really unacceptable) to be seen by an amazing doctor. I was admittedly a little weirded out by the student doctors, but as a patient you do have the option of requesting them to leave during your appointment, which is nice. I love that parking is free, as you don't really get that in Atlanta. The only other complaint I have is that they don't have a card reader, so you must pay in cash (or check). The staff is very polite and friendly!
Dr. Hasso was AMAZING! Easily the best doctor I've visited! This was my first time seeing her & I'll definitely be coming back. She was very considerate & made sure she didn't perform any unnecessary tests so I wouldn't be over charged, & her & her staff were all extremely pleasant & kind! Definitely recommend.
I am thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of everyone in the office. It was a pleasure to go to a provider such as Dr. Hasso. I admire her knowledge along with her discipline to helping others.
As always, great experience. O.C. Her nurse is amazing. Dr. Hasso is always to the point and I really like her 'no nonsense' manner. She is a teaching doctor and I admire her for that. Students have to learn somewhere...she is the best.
Very professional and friendly, made sure all my questions were answered.
I was not informed anywhere that this was a teaching hospital. My screening/questionnaire took an entire hour to complete as a new patient which would have taken 15 minutes with a licensed professional. I understand that these are students and they are learning, but I was not presented the option of being seen by the doctor first-off and was not informed I was being checked out by students until my blood pressure was taken four times. I would not go here if you were on a tight schedule. Dr. Hasso, however, was very friendly.
Very professional, nice personality, listening, give me all the time I need, just great.
Dr.Hasso and her team were very kind and helpful. The provided me with the help for me to get the treatment that I needed,I highly recommend them to anyone who has a Heath need.
She was unable to prescribe my meds I was there for 5 hours not a good doctor
Dr. Hasso was amazing! I'm sure I had such a long wait time because I was a first-time patient and it was the day before Thanksgiving. But overall, the staff was extremely knowledgeable and patient.
I liked this doctor, but her office was flooded with residency students and I spent more time with them than with her.
Dr. Hasso is direct. I trust her and her team. It seems like they do a lot of teaching in this office so there is some additional wait time, but overall a positive experience.
It was very personal and detailed. I thank her and her staff. I will recommend her to others.
The wait time was enormous. When I made the appointment thru zocdoc, the doctor's office called me and asked me to verify with my insurance whether they were in the network. I did that and informed the doctor's office, but my original appointment time was changed in the meantime. After reaching the doctor's office and waiting for an hour, they started checking with insurance. They could not reach them. So I had to call my insurance and facilitate the talk between the doctor's office and my insurance. There was a long wait between the time the junior doctors prepared my case sheet and the main doctor saw me.
I will not go back to her. I went in solely to get a prescription refilled. She was very pushy with adding on flu shots, blood tests, physicals, etc. Then, she told me I had strep throat. I was not feeling sick at all, no sore throat, no fever...nothing. And, she didn't even do a strep test, which could have easily been done. That would have shown whether or not her assumption was accurate. I still don't know if I actually had it or not. She was insistent on writing me a prescription for the strep anyway. I was so fed up with the appointment by that time, that I told her she can do whatever, but I wasn't going to take the medicine. She still wrote me the prescription...more money for her, right? Overall, I felt as though I was not being listened to at all.
Very interesting and wonderful
Always very professional.
I felt Dr. Hasso was not very invested in talking to the patient. She didn't make me feel comfortable and I felt like she was rushing me.
I liked her but the wait time was long and disorganized.
Very efficient! She and the staff were very nice. They were thorough & detailed without having me wait very long at all.
Dr. Hasso is truly a gem and I completely trust her.
Dr. Lisa was good, but her staff was unsatisfactory.
I was called right at my appointment time and was treated by med students first and then Liza. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The only things is they do not accept cards, only cash ot checks.
I admire the fact that she teaches and is very open with her thoughts for treatment. Just be patient with the students, they're learning
Only take cash, made me walk across the street to an ATM to get cash for my co=pay, very rude when I said I was never informed of this. She is a teaching doctor. Be prepared to have more than 7 people in the room with you and spend over an hour there for a simple cold.
The doctor was nice but She visited me after 1hour and half that I was with her students. I have been told that I was supposed to receive a call in two days about my lab results. It's been more than one week without any notice
Very nice staff
Dr. Hasso is a good doctor. This was my first appointment with her and I had some medical concerns. She was very kind and concerned. She made sure I was well taken care of.
As great as she always is :)
Woo hoo! I have finally found a great primary care provider in Atlanta! She is excellent and I will definitely be seeing her as my pcp from here on out. Very happy with the thoroughness of the appointment and the kindness of the employees.
Lisa was wonderful. Your service however is horrible... Is there a rating with less than one star? Again (second) the doctor appointment never made it to the office through your site. I had to be fit in and spent over two hours in the office. They did their best to accommodate me as a new patient. You really need to get your act together.....
My ZocDoc appointment was not visible in the system so I had a longer wait time for my appointment. I was seen by students for most of the visitation. My appointment was at Dr, Hasso's secondary location. I would make an appointment at the downtown location next time.
She is pretty straight forward. I would definitely go back. She has lots of med school students which is great that she is helping them further their education.
I appreciate the fact that she is a teaching doctor but I feel today I was passed off because it was time for the office to close and then I went to the ER to be marked as non-urgent and told to wait 8 hrs. There was barely any examination and mostly just repeating my symptoms and history...
I've been Dr Hasso's patient for over 12 years. She is a wonderful doctor! She takes the time to explain everything to you thoroughly and is very pleasant.
Pros - Dr.Hasso was quick and efficient, got what i wanted and was in and out quickly once we interacted - This location on roswell road is super convenient for me as it is just down the road from my home. Can't ask for anything beyond a good doctor within reach (albeit only once a week that she is at this location...) Cons - She has a lot of students that follow her around which can be a little uncomfortable. - I think the use of students in her facility here contributed to the wait time.
The office is located in a suite of the Astoria building so be sure to park inside the garage. As a new patient, it was okay. The other patients waiting seem to really like her.
It was hard to find the office and I drove around in circles for a while before I had to call and get directions. Other wise it was great. I felt like my concerns were heard and I wasn't being rushed. I like that there were students there and were shadowing her. I felt like all my major concerns were addressed and I wasn't being pushed out the door.
Dr Liza was very kind and professional. We highly recommend her and definitely will go back to see her.
I love Dr. Liza Hasso! She did not push medications on me, actually everything she recommended was over the counter or dietary changes. She actually took the time to walk me through what's going on with me, I think I've found my primary care doctor!
Great service! Highly recommended
To be honest, she is the best doctor I have ever been too! She is proffesio and very understanding! She didn't waste my time by waiting so long and the way she spoke to me was genuinely caring and she was not faking it. She addressed my medical status as if I'm one of her family members! I highly recommend Her and it would my honor if she becomes my primary care doctor.
Very proffecional , staff are very nice and helpful everything was excellent
She was great, straight to the point and i felt comfortable!
I have never had a worse encounter with a doctor in my life. Having at least 5 medical students poking and prodding you (at the same time) for practice instead of the actual doctor being paid to see you is not a situation I recommend to anyone. I was so upset after the appointment with how I was treated and my concerns/confusion being completely ignored or dismissed that I literally cried in my car after leaving the office. I almost just walked out due to feeling like a specimen in a petri dish. I can tell Dr. Hasso isn't a bad doctor, but she has terrible bedside manner and just doesn't value communication or sensitivity highly...or at all.
I enjoyed my visit. I will be going here from now on.
That day was an exception; the receptionist was out sick and things got backed up. Dr. Hasso herself is great. She was very apologetic for the wait, considerate, and professional.
I had a very good experience with Dr Hasso. She is very professional and she's personable. I would recommend Dr Hasso to anyone who needs a GP in Atlanta.
She is lovely, very friendly and made me feel confortable
Enjoyed her professionalism and quality of care. Will definitely be going back.
She was informative and kind, she let me know why she wasnt comfortable just prescribing medications without knowing more about patients medical hstory. she then helped coordinate a psychiatrist visit and wrote me several prescriptions to keep me healthy until i saw my psychiatrist. i truly appreciated her caring so much about my well being.
very professional and very detailed. One of the best experiences I have had.
Sas very professional and to the point.
I had a minor emergency and they were able to work me into their schedule (hence my longer wait time).
She was very nice I am only here in GA for a short time and needed a prescription filled They were all very helpful If I need to stay here longer I would definitely go back
She did a lot of expensive tests that didn't give my any conclusive answers. When I received the bill months later I found out that her practice doesn't accept credit/HSA card payments, which was a huge pain.
The office itself was in a mixed residential and commercial building in Buckhead, so plan ahead for parking. I waited a little over 30 minutes to be attended by a couple of medical students. I understand they were shadowing and doing some hands on learning, but I would have rather be seen by a certified nurse. The room itself was a bit weird, the physical and consultation itself took place in their break room which also doubles as a patient room. I had a bit of an unusual case but I had to educate the doctor on most of the illness which felt a bit odd since she is the medical professional. Not my first choice for a medical practice, will probably not go back.
I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly they got me back and the total paperwork before seeing the doctor took me under 1 minute to complete. The visit began with giving a history to 2 pretty new medical students, which I didn't mind but I understand how some people might. The doctor herself was very pleasant, easy to talk with and knowledgeable. I would recommend this office to others.
Overall, this was probably the worst experience at a doctor's office I have had. I arrived and waited 30 minutes to be called back despite being the only person in the waiting area. Only when I was called was I informed my co-pay was due and they do NOT accept credit/debit cards. I had to walk across the street in the rain to pull out cash. After paying I was asked numerous questions by a student worker (they had many med students) that I had already answered using ZocDoc. The exam room was about 80 degrees and I started sweating. 45 minutes later the doctor Liza arrived. She hardly introduced herself and began quizzing the student to get the backstory. Her overall bedside manner can be described as tweaky, very busy and self-centered, and her accent was difficult to understand. I was pleased with the prescription she gave me for my common cold, but unfortunately it took almost 2 hours to get it. I will definitely never return.
She's delightful, professional and I liked her immediately.
She is very professional doctor as well as a nice woman. Ilike her a lot.
Great personality and excellent professional
She's a teaching doctor & coming from a medical family in which my father was in private practice but was also a professor at UC Irvine, & a brother who's a prof at U CO med school , I'm very sympathetic & supportive of this , but her teaching style becomes very intrusive on her bedside manner & communication with the patient . Really wanted to gloss over my needs & questions & just question the students on her teaching agenda.
Very knowledgable MD. She does work with medical students, but you can opt not to have them in the room.
It was great, as usual. :)
it was great.. the crew was awesome. they tell me everything about what I have and I am fully aware what is going with me
Amazing Doctor ! Really pays attention to patient needs ! Recommended a home remedy to test before she conducts any X-rays to avoid the possibility of unnecessary radiation, but still ran blood work. I was very grateful for this !
Dr Hasso is very thorough and asks lots of questions to get to root cause. Made me feel as though she has my best interest in mind on a human, personal level. Also appreciate she is a teaching doctor.
Dr. Hasso is very professional and her staff is friendly. I was seen quickly without having to wait long. Dr. Hasso is knowledgeable and was able to help me and answer any and all questions I had. She was extremely kind and made me feel comfortable in her office. I would definitely recommend her as a doctor to anyone who is looking for a reliable, intelligent, and friendly doctor.
Although the wait was long because of the office transitioning to a new computer system (they warned me about this when I made the appointment), I felt like I was really taken care of. Dr. Hasso was respectful of my time, but also really got down to the causes of my symptoms and immediately got to diagnostics. She had some med students come in and she quizzed them over what tests they would run on me. As a teacher, I enjoyed being able to help some young students get the experience that they need. Overall, I feel that Dr. Hasso takes very good care of me and is very attentive to my needs as a patient.
She is a great physician and I had seen her before.
I really appreciate Dr. Hasso. She has worked with me for years on my health and I keep getting better. She is great to explain what is happening and discusses health options instead of just dictating. The students in attendance are always super helpful and nice, too.
Awesome very informative
She's nice and helpful
She and her staff were very polite and informative. It's my first visit...let us see what follows. So far so good.
Overall it was an okay experience. Was very thorough asking many questions. What I didn't like was the amount of people in the room with me. There were students shadowing her and it was too much for me. Also did not like one of my concerns being dismissed.
I have a prescription that needs to be written and collected from the doctor's office monthly. I have always called it in a couple days ahead to try and have it waiting for me. I have NEVER waited less than 45 minutes to get my prescription. Not to see a doctor - just to pick up a piece of paper. Dr. Hasso has a stern and extremely curt bedside manner. After 5 months of them wasting my time I am definitely going to look for another doctor.
There were not enough seats in the waiting area. It took 3 hours to be called into the back just to wait another hour and 30 minutes for the doctor
Make me feel very comfortable
The parking here is so confusing and once you actually find the door to enter the office does not answer their code to let you into the office. I had to call the dentist above for them to buzz me in. Copay is cash only.
I liked her friendly, and warm personality and her efficient manner. I also liked the fact that she was surrounded by medical students whom she was helping to educated and train. That tells me that she is not afraid of having her own work being evaluated. Her office staff was also very friendly and efficient.
Dr Hasso is very thorough. I would highly recommend.
The appointment was quick and rushed. I didn't feel like she wanted to understand what was going on with me but she just wanted me out of the door. The intern that asked me questions was new and it took a long time. I wouldn't have cared so much but she was not friendly either. A BIG negative is that she does not accept credit cards.
She is great! I'm new to Atlanta and I was worried about finding a new doctor. I would highly recommend her. The only reason my wait time was long because there was a miscommunication about needing to reschedule my appointment. I will definitely use her as my GP!
I will not be returning. Felt rushed and not cared for during the appointment. the practice using the med students there a lot, many of who seem disinterested or otherwise called to other things in the middle of your appointment.
They don't take credit cards, theyre slow, you'll get worked up by a student without supervision & get a ridiculous medical bill!
She has a very great set up and I will be using her for all of my medical needs from now on.
Little weary when I read some reviews... But it was a good experience. Lots of med students which I don't mind helping people learn. She made it clear that they could disappear if need be. Will be returning
They were very busy. Waited in outer office half an hour then in examine room about 20 minutes. Lengthy new patient interview because it had been 3 years since my last visit. Required cash for office co-pay and wouldn't take my HSA credit card, so had to go to ATM machine across the street. Really?
Overall fair for what I needed which was a quick physical for school. The wait in the waiting room was really long. I love the checkin process. Since i scheduled with zocdocs I was able to do all the paperwork before the visit. Dr. Hasso seemed really rushed during our meet and the medical students really did the exam and history portion. I would go back for a quick need such as this, but probably not for anything serious.
took an hour to see her.. and she seemed like she couldnt wait to leave the room.
The doctor was abrupt and impatient and the office was strange. They only accept cash (what?) and the place has a suspect feel. The office people were nice, but harried and unprofessional. Bizarre.
Wait time and professionality was completely unacceptable.
Alot of test and you will be the center of lab students asking you questions. The teaching approach is not for me. The students are residents making suggestions about your health in your face. It was not pleasurable.
Staff was wonderful. Doctor had goo bedside manner and thorough.
Really abrupt and didn't stop to see if I had any questions. She addressed what I needed but wasn't necessarily pleasant.
Love, Love, LOVED this provider! I would highly recommend her
I thought that all people involved- secretary, nurses, med student, and physician were extremely disorganized and unprofessional. I would probably never go back.
She was pretty thorough in all that she did and made sure that all my concerns and questions were addressed. Also the staff was nice and friendly
If you want to wait all day and feel like a guinea pig then come here. Otherwise go elsewhere. After waiting an hour in the wait room, I was finally taken back by a student. I went through the usual routine and the student started asking me questions. We were interrupted 3 times and each time the student forgot what I had already told him so I had to start all over. Super annoying. This went on for about an hour then the doctor finally came in. She spoke really fast and I felt rushed. Then she invited all the students in to use my case as a learning opportunity. This would be fine if I wasn't paying top dollar for a medical professional. Instead I got treated by some kids still in school. I would never go back.
Finding the parking was a tad tricky, but beyond that, my visit went well. Parking is free, too, which is a great bonus n this neighborhood. Everyone at the office was friendly and accommodating, and Dr. Hasso was very direct, a quality I appreciate in a doctor. When I used zoc doc to make my appointment, I received a "appointment pending" email and then a "appointment confirmed" email. It was clear that they were not expecting me when I showed up for my appointment later that day. Despite the confusion, they were still able to see me. Seems like there may be a few kinks to work out with the zoc doc reservation system, but in the end everything worked out just fine.
I felt really well taken care of. They were incredibly thorough!
Her visit was good. The intern took a lot of time as she was in training to do a work up.
The visit was pleasant, professional, friendly and thorough....this includes the doctor, facility and staff.
My appointment was scheduled for 11:15 but I was not seen until 1:00. The office was nice and clean and the staff was vet friendly overall it was a good experience.
Did didn't have me down . I set there for 30minutes before they even asked for my paper work .. They we'er everywhere ..
Dr. Hasso Is wonderful and the staff is also! They were so kind and understanding, they all listened and showed pure compassion. I loved my visit and will be visiting again. This was an exceptional experience!
