I appreciate the time he took to review my records with me and to outline my options. He explains things in a clear manner and took the time to answer my questions.

Explains diagnosis in detail and understandable. Pleasant personality and easy to discuss issues with. Takes time to listen and give answers. I am an avid cyclist and very active. After 3 months from the surgery, I started lightly ride my bike again. After 5 months I was back in shape to the Santa Fe Half Century Ride. It is now 7 months and my back feels stable and strong. I really happy that I made the decision to have the surgery.

Dr. Loutenhiser was dressed inappropriately and unshaven. When he and his scribe first came in I was unsure of who the doctor was! The unshaven look is popular but not for a doctor, plus he came in wearing jeans and a t-shirt that looked like they had been slept in! I would expect that he at least wear a casual pair of pants and at the very least a sport shirt! He told me he would not do surgery but had no real "next step" solutions other than things that I have already tried and have been unsuccessful.
Love him!! Could not have asked for a better surgeon. I feel 100% better than post surgery. He fixed my back and I am looking forward to the rest of my life with no pain.
Verified patient
He spent a good amount of time with me and explained things thoroughly. I felt confident in his ability and knowledge, but am still processing all the information he gave me.
I received the answers I was looking for.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Loutzenhiser. He did spinal surgery on my back 3 months ago, and I have been very pleased with his service. If I have a complaint, it would be that waiting in the waiting room can be extensive at times. As for trusting my doctor, Dr. Loutzenhiser is fantastic! I highly recommend him.
Verified patient
Didn't appreciate Doc suggesting my chiropractor offered no positive help with my condition or was valuable part of therapy program.
The appointments with the doctor always go well, but we usually end up waiting for at least an hour to be seen, Last visit was an hour and a half. That's just too long.
I actually chose Dr. Loutzenhiser based on the experience my father-in-law had with him. He's very down to earth and is willing to take the time to ensure that everything has been explained to the patient's (mine) satisfaction.
Dr. Loutzenhiser was very explanantory in telling me about my surgery. He answered all my questions in a manner that I could understand and I appreciate that.

I am very pleased with him as my doctor. He takes time to explain my progress as well as review all xrays after they are taken. He is very caring and attentive.

It was only the 1st visit but all was good.

Especially appreciate his careful discernment whether my walking problem is related to the degenerative cervical neck disease. Need to consult a Neurologist.
Verified patient
I felt that he was very professionaly, communicated clearly and took the time to explain things to me and my husband when I had my appointment. We also brought along a friend who is a doctor and he was not put off by that.
Verified patient
Everyone was very friendly and kind.

I'm totally thrilled with the results of my recent lumbar surgery not to mention the great personal care I've received since first appealing to Dr Loutzenhizer for help in ending the chronic pain that has put a damper on my life for years on end. It's been only a couple of weeks since going under the knife, but I'm able to drive already and even able to sit comfortably in a movie theater through an entire feature film...something that has been impossible for me for years. What can I do but send out a a big warm and heart-felt thank you to Dr Lonnie, his staff and the care team at Panorama & Colorado Ortho Hospital. I am forever indebted!

So thankful that Dr Loutzenhiser was on duty when I was airlifted to St Anthony after a horrific ski accident with little to no feeling in my legs. 3 weeks later I'm walking.. Outstanding job fixing my shattered vertebra and now I'm on my way to a full recovery. I am forever grateful to you.
Verified patient
While he had had an emergency come up, once we were able to meet with him, he thoroughly explained the issues with my back and what he proposed to do to rectify the situation. We were very pleased with our meeting.
