Verified Patient Reviews
my favorite Dr.
I appreciate the time he took to review my records with me and to outline my options. He explains things in a clear manner and took the time to answer my questions.
Explains diagnosis in detail and understandable. Pleasant personality and easy to discuss issues with. Takes time to listen and give answers. I am an avid cyclist and very active. After 3 months from the surgery, I started lightly ride my bike again. After 5 months I was back in shape to the Santa Fe Half Century Ride. It is now 7 months and my back feels stable and strong. I really happy that I made the decision to have the surgery.
So far I am very pleased. He explained my surgery to my satisfaction and I will know more after surgery.
I received the answers I was looking for.
He spent a good amount of time with me and explained things thoroughly. I felt confident in his ability and knowledge, but am still processing all the information he gave me.
Very polite, explained everything throughly
Dr Loutzenhizer listened and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed. It is always helpful to get a printout of the details of my visit(s).
Love him!! Could not have asked for a better surgeon. I feel 100% better than post surgery. He fixed my back and I am looking forward to the rest of my life with no pain.
Dr. Loutenhiser was dressed inappropriately and unshaven. When he and his scribe first came in I was unsure of who the doctor was! The unshaven look is popular but not for a doctor, plus he came in wearing jeans and a t-shirt that looked like they had been slept in! I would expect that he at least wear a casual pair of pants and at the very least a sport shirt! He told me he would not do surgery but had no real "next step" solutions other than things that I have already tried and have been unsuccessful.
Very attentive and informative
Dr. L is just such a nice guy! And an excellent surgeon.
He is very thorough in explaining and answering all my questions.
Dr.Loutzenhiser is always caring and concerned, explains procedures and answers my questions. I feel good about the visit.
Very pleasant. He was professional in his approach to my condition and guided me in, what I felt, was the right direction.
Very attentive helpful and clear
I have been very pleased with Dr. Loutzenhiser. He did spinal surgery on my back 3 months ago, and I have been very pleased with his service. If I have a complaint, it would be that waiting in the waiting room can be extensive at times. As for trusting my doctor, Dr. Loutzenhiser is fantastic! I highly recommend him.
I felt it was very rushed. I had questions and concerns that I never got to ask. Dr spent less than 5 min with me
He took the time to listen and provided honest opinions and recommendations to treat complex and chronic problems.
Dr. Loutzenhiser performed back surgery - excellent results. Direct and professional - with a sense of humor.
Everyone was very friendly and kind.
Didn't appreciate Doc suggesting my chiropractor offered no positive help with my condition or was valuable part of therapy program.
I'm totally thrilled with the results of my recent lumbar surgery not to mention the great personal care I've received since first appealing to Dr Loutzenhizer for help in ending the chronic pain that has put a damper on my life for years on end. It's been only a couple of weeks since going under the knife, but I'm able to drive already and even able to sit comfortably in a movie theater through an entire feature film...something that has been impossible for me for years. What can I do but send out a a big warm and heart-felt thank you to Dr Lonnie, his staff and the care team at Panorama & Colorado Ortho Hospital. I am forever indebted!
I felt that he was very professionaly, communicated clearly and took the time to explain things to me and my husband when I had my appointment. We also brought along a friend who is a doctor and he was not put off by that.
Dr. Loutzenhiser was very explanantory in telling me about my surgery. He answered all my questions in a manner that I could understand and I appreciate that.
I actually chose Dr. Loutzenhiser based on the experience my father-in-law had with him. He's very down to earth and is willing to take the time to ensure that everything has been explained to the patient's (mine) satisfaction.
He was direct, to the point, showed me the x-rays and explained the results.
It was only the 1st visit but all was good.
The wait (both times, so far) is long, but the visit is worth it. Bring a book!
Especially appreciate his careful discernment whether my walking problem is related to the degenerative cervical neck disease. Need to consult a Neurologist.
He was professional and explained clearly the problem with my back and made some helpful suggestions. He was friendlier than the last doctor that treated me there.
I am very pleased with him as my doctor. He takes time to explain my progress as well as review all xrays after they are taken. He is very caring and attentive.
Thank you and Jennifer very much for your time and attention to my problems.
The appointments with the doctor always go well, but we usually end up waiting for at least an hour to be seen, Last visit was an hour and a half. That's just too long.
I appreciate the straight forward/honest approach of Dr. Loutzenhiser regarding the choices/options of the approach to my ongoing back problems.
While he had had an emergency come up, once we were able to meet with him, he thoroughly explained the issues with my back and what he proposed to do to rectify the situation. We were very pleased with our meeting.
So thankful that Dr Loutzenhiser was on duty when I was airlifted to St Anthony after a horrific ski accident with little to no feeling in my legs. 3 weeks later I'm walking.. Outstanding job fixing my shattered vertebra and now I'm on my way to a full recovery. I am forever grateful to you.
Everything went well, but the wait was long while we were in the exam room. He was running behind and the room was hot and no one checked in on us at all. It would have been nice to offer us a drink rather than my son having to seek someone out.
Very pleasant visit. The visit was for a consultation.
He took all the time needed to let me know what every thing he did during the surgery. Treated me like I was the only patient he needed to see.
Gave me several options and let me make the decision.
Dr. Loutzenhier is an excellent practioner who treats his patients as intelligent adults. He takes the time to explain and answer questions.
I went to see Dr. Loutzenhiser for a second opinion. He was very informative and thorough. He put my mind at rest as to my next step. I was also impressed with the professionalism of the office staff.
This is my first visit with the doctor, so I am not ready yet to make a recommendation. I was pleased with our visit, other than the 45 minute wait time to see him.
Dr. "L" is simply the best! I wouldn't trust anyone else to do surgery on my back. It's the only one I have and it has to last!!! I will be having a second surgery for another back issue and can say that I know I am in good hands.
Have Always been pleased with everything at this office
My appointment with Dr. Loutzenhiser went very well. Every time I have seen him he has been very courteous and has made me feel comfortable in discussing my ailment. I never feel rushed and I feel like he genuinely feels concern. He is respectful of my opinion and takes my concerns into account when making a treatment plan. I would definitely recommend him to anyone searching for a Dr.
Dr. L was polite and very professional. The xrays showed what I expected which indicated I do need back surgery.
Dr Loutzenheiser was very simpathetic & listened to my story of ailments. His concern & professionalism has eased my concerns & I am anxious to continue treatment with him.
Dr Leutzenhiser performed a lumbar fusion for me 6 months ago. I cannot believe how good I feel and how many issues were resolved by the surgery. I am back to my normal level of activity (tennis, gym, pilates) and have had NO discomfort or issues. I have my life back! My back is better than it's been in over 20 years. I am thrilled I chose to have the surgery. Dr Leutzenhiser has been an exceptional physician. He takes all the time necessary to fully explain everything and to answer every question I've ever had. He's been a true partner in my health. I could not recommend a doctor more highly!
I view him as an outstanding professional. Answers all questions and doesn't rush this patient.
He is a great doctor, I have all the confidence in the world in him. He sat down with my husband and me and explained the entire surgery to us, so we know what we are up against and what to expect. He listened and was very attentative.
The treatment was just what was needed. My back is healing great and I do not have the pain I had before the surgery. The visit was a follow up 6 weeks out from surgery. He is an excellent doctor. I am healing very good and I highly recommend Dr Lonnie Loutzenhiser.
Professional and straight to business. Explained the MRI and what can be done about what it revealed.
The Dr. operated on my wifes back....101% success, and that is why i went to see him for my back problems...took his time with both of us, and engaged in conversation. Did not....not have his hand on the door knob waiting to get out of the room.....thorough explanation on all aspects.....i highly recommend him and appreciate his patience with my questions....
Direct and to the point doctor. Quickly reviewed my case history, looked over my just taken X-rays and compare them to those previously taken, asked how I was doing personally, discussed my pain med needs and suggested I make another and my most likely last appointment.
Dr. Loutzenhiser is a highly professional and deeply sympathic surgeon. He explained everything that was happening to my back and the steps he is going to take to improve my motor skills. He used words that I cold understand and took his time to make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Lonnie Loutzenhiser.
I have been satisfied since day one for my first appt. He is a very warm person, makes you feel confident in what he does. He takes time to listen to you and what you have to say. I must say I have been pleased with each and every Dr. I have seen at this office since March of 09. Will meet a new Dr. to check out my left knee. Becoming bionic. I tell anyone i know that is looking to have any type of ortho surgery that Panorama should be thier first stop
Dr L was highly recommended by a good friend of ours so I trust that he is an excellent doctor. I do not visit the docs very often so when I do I appreciate a warm "bedside manner" to ease the discomfort of being there with a smile and empathy for what I may be experiencing no matter how insignificant the doctor feels it may be "compared" to his other patients. My first visit I was not feeling well at all so asked very few questions so received very little info in return. Dr L could possibly ask more questions about how the patient is feeling at the time and do they have any major concerns or worries. Hope this helps. Obviously, personal to me. Thanks.
Dr. Loutzenhiser was very sincere, informative, and reassuring on my upcoming surgery. Will highly recommend him to anyone with back and lumbar problems.
Very professional and friendly. Discussed my situation and options for treatment.
Very thorough, explained issues well
He explained my situation very carefully and allowed me to decide what the course of treatment would be. Very professional and very warm and kind, at the same time.
It was great to get an experts opinion and options of what I should do next with my back pain. I've been to multiple Primary Care Physicians multiple times that just kept giving me pain medicine but never really explained how to move forward when the medicine doesn't work. Dr Loutzenhiser also explained what to watch for if my conditions worsens, so now I know what is really serious and needs to be looked at again.
Dr. Lonnie is wonderful! He helps me, every visit, understand what I'm feeling, why I'm feeling it and tells me what to do to ease my pain and my concerns. He's always willing to spend time with me, making me feel important.
Very professional and thorough. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Extremely professional, subject matter expert on the corrective surgery I had and was able to narrow symptoms to diagnose injury.
He did not offer much of a solution to my low back pain.
Very nice and caring doctor; very concerned with my health issue and eager to help me fix it. I felt very at ease and comfortable with him.
Very organized. Well mannered. Took my medical concerns seriously.
I waited for an hour and a half. lets hope the follow up is not as ridiculous
He was very informative and I am not anxious about having him do my back surgery.
Friendly, He took time to answer all my questions but at the end he referred me to another doctor. He was not in a rush like many other doctors.
He was very thorough explaining my condition and the type of surgery needed.
