I had not been to an OB-GYN since my 12 year old was born. I am a survivor of adjudicated domestic violence and therefore had found it very difficult to permit physicians to touch me ever since. With no knowledge of this, Dr. Hallock met with me in her office prior to the exam, as this is her part of her practice with new patients. She displayed genuine interest in all factors in my life that affect my health. Her demeanor is warm, compassionate, and calming. As we reviewed my health history, I began to feel comfortable enough to open up and tell her my dv information, which I keep buried from most. At 46 & holding several graduate degrees, I've long understood that my health needs included an internal exam. Up until today, however, the thought of having a fatal illness was a more desirable condition instead of getting the exam. I highly recommend Dr. Hallock for young ladies and mature women seeking a knowledgeable, considerate, non-judgmental physician. I now enjoy some peace of mind in that I was able to give my body necessary medical attention. As a natural extension, today's experience with Dr. Hallock and support staff is promoting my healing in several areas, not just GYN.
