Doctor was nice, and well woman exam was comfortable. She reviewed my medical and Rx history and didn't rush me out the door when I had a few questions. She also ordered follow up testing to ease one of my concerns. Would recommend, but be prepared to wait a little while to be seen.

Dr. Cavender is a native of Dallas and grew up there with her brother. She received her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Texas A&M University and completed her Bachelors of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston before joining MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston as a physician assistant.
Her commitment to women’s health grew during her six years with MD Anderson, where she treated breast cancer patients, leading her to pursue a medical degree with the goal of caring for women and their healthcare needs. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio with her Doctor of Medicine degree.
Her residency training was with the Houston Methodist Hospital’s Obstetrical and Gynecology residency pro-gram and part of her residency training was in Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, allowing her to develop rela-tionships with the hospital’s medical staff that will now benefit her as a private physician working in the same hospital where she completed parts of her training.
While Dr. Cavender was in medical school she met her husband John, and they are now blessed with two lit-tle boys who continue to keep them smiling and dancing every day. She is an avid reader and enjoys movies, gardening and cooking.

The visit was fine but the information I filled out at zocdoc wasn't accepted in the clinic so I ended up spending more time filling in the exact same information. I would recommend zocdoc to reconfirm with your providers that the information you ask to fill out for them really reaches it's destination
