I am a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon that is originally from Brazil,South America.
After finishing Medical School in the State of Sao Paulo I came to the USA to train as an Orthopedic Surgeon and later
focused my interest in Hand Surgery.
Besides Medicine my hobbies have been focused on the outdoors. I have been a serious high altitude Mountain Climber and a Marathon Runner. After running 12 marathons I dedicated myself to Mountaineering. I have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa, Mont Blanc in France, Kalapatar in Nepal and multiple mountains in South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, etc
My highest climb was Aconcagua-the highest peak in the world outside the Himalayas. It sits in the border of Argentina and Chile and is 23 thousand feet high.
This past February I did some Glacier trekking and climbing in the South of Argentina-Patagonia!
I was a beautiful experience.
Cycling and walking have helped me stay in shape all these years.
I love Hand Surgery so much that I consider it a hobby. It brings me great pleasure to restore function to an injured upper extremity.
