Lynette Stewart, MD, FACOG is the Owner and CEO of Georgia Center for Female Health. She has been a physician for 24 years and a Board-Certified OB/GYN practitioner for nearly 20 years. Dr. Stewart graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from Tuskegee University. She earned her Medical Degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Stewart completed her Residency at Catholic Medical Centers, a major teaching hospital of Cornell University in New York City.
Before relocating to Atlanta, Georgia in 1995, Dr. Stewart served as Chief of the OB/GYN Department of the hospital where she practiced in Tennessee. Dr. Stewart has served in several administrative capacities including Head of the Gwinnett County Rape Crisis Center. She was elected to the highest medical board in the state, the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners, an organization that oversees and administers medical licenses for the State of Georgia.
Dr. Stewart is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Stewart has conducted research in obstetrics, molecular biology, and biochemistry. Dr. Stewart has a special interest in aesthetics and skin care, and developed a skin care line presented at Eos The Medical Spa.
Dr. Stewart is married to otolaryngologist Dr. Fermin Stewart. They have three children, Samantha, Alejandro, and Silva. Dr. Stewart enjoys ballet, modern dance, and Caribbean dance.

I did not have a good experience at this office. The front office was nice, however, when I got to the back, there was a weird noise while waiting, and I soon realized there were large stink bugs in the room making the noise. I went to grab someone to get rid of it and the gentleman was extremely rude. I ended up switching rooms and told the doctor and she kind of brushed everything of. I don’t want my legs open in a room with bugs; I definitely won’t be back.

The receptionist did not verify insurance information and actually denied me the right to see my results if I did not pay. (I was actually covered by insurance so they were supposed to pay the fee!) After that was resolved, the Doctor does not talk to you about things, she just performs the pap smear really quick and leaves the room. She also had no idea who I was when I returned and was reading my file as if we hadn't already discussed what was in it the first time and got the treatment for it. I won't be back, doesn't feel very nurturing.

Waited just over 30 minutes to be seen. Dr. Lynette's bed side manner today was poor. She gave me a dull greeting and asked me what I was there for today. She seemed in a hurry, as she did not ask probing questions about the condition I suspected I had, nor did she make time for me to ask questions. She gave me an examination and told me she'd call in a prescription. I felt like I had to rush to get my questions and concerns out as she continued to walk toward and out of the door while she answered them. She was very short in her responses.
Following the appointment there was an error with calling in my prescriptions. One never made it to the pharmacy. When I called to inquire about it I was spoken to in such a condescending tone by Rebecca. She was reluctant to check to see if the prescription was sent over, she insisted that I was being hasty and should give it another 30 minutes (to make a full 2 hours of waiting). Finally I convinced her that I'd already spoken to my pharmacy and that they'd said that only one prescription was received. She checked and found a "processing error" on the doctor's end. She insincerely apologized and said she'd sent it in for real this time. I ended our conversation by simply asking what time the office closed today. She rudely responded "again, it takes about 2 hours for the prescription to reach the pharmacy." I told her that I heard her the first time and am simply wondering their hours of operation.
This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I felt unimportant to the doctor and a burden to the receptionist. I won't return.

When you get to the office you will receive BAD SERVICE and treatment like you're asking irrelevant questions about your body. when it comes to following up with results or prescription expect to receive no information. I have never in my life seen a doctor's office that is so concerned with payments, that they don't take the time to explain and speak to you about what's going on with your body. I would not recommend this doctor to anybody. They can call you and text about attending plastic surgery informational a million times, but can't call you to tell you your results. I will not be returning, especially since for the last 2 weeks their phones have been down and I have been getting transferred to their Decatur location, which cannot access the information that is at the Norcross Location. So Frustrating don't do it.

My visit to Dr. Stewart was very good over all. The wait was a little long, but not bad. I will definitely go back again. This was my first visit to the gynecologist and it was not bad at all. Everything was explained in detail.

The only thing was the building was a little hard to find as they're on the 3rd floor above a Trader Joes and cupcake place but the facility itself was super clean and nice. I had been getting my pap from my regular physician for years but since me and my husband have started to try for a baby with difficulty conceiving, it was time to go back to a regular gyno. I have to say Dr. Steward was just a sweet heart and the nurses were attentive and nice even though we got there at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this place and glad i didn't have to do a lot of searching to find my new gynecologist.

I was very pleased with my entire appointment at Lynette Stewart's
office. I had previously read some undesirable reviews about the Doctor and her staff and happy I decided to make my own determination about them. I had a wonderful experience and will continue to make all of my OBGYN appointments with Dr Stewarts facility. Thanks to the staff for being so kind and understanding and especially to the lady who drew my blood; they were all awesome.

The doctor was friendly, but the entire process was a mess. There was an hour and a half between when my appointment was scheduled and when I was actually taken back. When the doctor finally did see me, it was incredibly rushed - she asked almost no questions, showed no concern whatsoever about some abnormalities, and almost completely ignored the primary reason I came in. It was clear that she just wanted to be done and out as soon as possible. It's possible that this office is worth it on slow days, but I would not recommend it at all.

I was really impressed with my visit to Dr. Stewart's office. Visiting the gyno usually makes me really anxious and uncomfortable but not today. The office is extremely clean and the reception was so nice and fast. I didn't even have time to fill out my paperwork before they called me back. The exam was quick and informative. Dr. Stewart is a good doctor. Her front desk and office staff, not so much. They are not rude, they don't give correct information sometimes.
I had a situation where I discovered I was pregnant at her office. I asked the nurse to perform a pregnancy test. She told me to ask Dr. Stewart (which I thought was funny because I told her I was late) so I did. Dr. Stewart agreed and the test was positive. The nurse didn't try to confirm a follow up appointment so I left. The next morning I had bleeding , I called the office and the nurse said there was nothing they could do for me just go to the ER. She also said I should call them Monday so they can work me in to confirm or deny the ER information. I called Monday and they said they couldn't schedule me because the doc wouldn't be in and I could come the next day. This really upset me because on Monday I was still in pain and bleeding moderately. If she knew the doctor wouldn't be in on Monday why would she tell me that.
In a separate in indecent they called me to come in for a follow up appt. I asked what was wrong but all the nurse said was a routine follow up so I took my time rescheduling and it turns out that I needed to come back in ASAP. It wasn't a routine follow up.
I found another doctor on ZocDoc and I won't be going back to see Dr. Stewart. Again, she is good but her staff is incompetent. At times a doctor's staff is more important than they are...

I was a little overwhelmed about attending this appointment. But Dr. Stewart made me feel really comfortable. She eased all of my anxiety. There was very good communication with my husband as well, she made him feel a part of the appointment. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. One young lady stood out overall, unfortunately I don't know her name but she assisted in checking us out. I would recommend Dr. Stewart's office to others. The only complaint that I had was the wait was kinda long, but if you are as likable as Dr. Stewart I know a lot of women want to see her. :) Thank you for your service I look forward to a lasting relationship.

My low stars concerning my doctor's visit have nothing to do with Dr. Lynette herself. She's a great doctor and she did try to make me feel at ease. However, the staff there is absolutely AWFUL. First, they lost my lab results, so it took them a week and a half to get back to me schedule a follow-up visit when I should have gotten a call in 2-4 days. Secondly, their lab results hotline is a joke; I left two extremely detailed messages complete with phone number and my name spelled out phonetically and I never got a call back. Lastly, because they didn't schedule my follow-up visit fast enough, I have to wait an additional week to get seen again by the doctor. The girl that called said that they were going through a change in staff, but in a doctor's office, I would think the learning curve shouldn't be that steep; you're dealing with people's health for goodness sakes. Needless to say, as much as I like Dr. Stewart, I will definitely be finding another doctor in the area.
