Lynn D. Cooper, M.D., is a Board-Certified Anatomic/Clinical Pathologist and Dermatopathologist and a fellow of the American Society of Dermatopathology. Dr. Cooper comes to Skin Cancer Specialists, P.C. while serving as Medical Director of a Dermatopathology laboratory for a national company.
Dr. Cooper completed a residency in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology at The Ohio State University, where he served as Chief resident in his final year. He then completed a Dermatopathology fellowship at The University of Michigan, the largest melanoma referral service in the country.
Dr. Cooper‘s expertise is in the field of dermatopathology, which focuses on the study of cutaneous diseases at a microscopic level. His areas of interests are melanocytic lesions, inflammatory dermatosis, atypical cutaneous lymphoid infiltrates, and soft tissue neoplasms. Dr. Cooper is a regular lecturer at multiple dermatology residency programs, a regular lecturer at the National Dermatopathology meeting, and has been published in numerous scientific journals.
Dr. Cooper lives in Marietta and is married with three daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys working out and spending time with his family.
