Dr. Porter is a Board-Certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1990. She completed 2 years of general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts Categorical program from 1990-1992 and her pediatric residency and Chief residency at the Boston Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical center from 1995-1998. Dr Porter was subsequently hired on staff there. She was the Director of Outpatient Clinical Services and Associate Chief of the division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent medicine at Tufts Medical Center by the end of her 10 years there.
Dr Porter started her own practice in 2006 and is the Chief Medical Officer. She has been in practice for over 20 years. She teaches Medical students, residents and earned multiple teaching awards for her dedication to children.
Dr Porter is the mother of 3 girls, is an avid spinner, enjoys running and fitness. Also, is involved in programs at MIT to promote science/research in under represented high school students.

Everyone was pleasant and courteous as usual. Scheduling prevented us from seeing Dr Porter but we were fine with a new Doctor. Dr Winter made my child feel comfortable and asked her questions on her own.

Dr Porter is the most wonderful physician. She is kind, funny, efficient and incredibly knowledgeable. She has been our children’s pediatrician since they were born and despite moving twice, we continue to travel to see her. We feel incredibly lucky that she cares for our family.

Dr. Porter and the rest of the team at Porter Pediatrics are by far the best healthcare provider we could ever imagine for our kids here in Boston.
The number of times they have reacted quickly when sudden situations came up here in Boston or when we were traveling elsewhere sticks out as a defining characteristic.
Our kids have grown up there and Dr Porter has been with them every step of the way. Even coming home from college, our kids look forward to their check ups and the opportunity to see her.

We love Dr. Porter. She has become like an extended member of our family. We love the caring attention she gives to our baby and toddler. She has a wonderful bedside manner, makes us laugh, and is always candid about approaches we should take, which I appreciate. I recommend her to everyone!

All four of my kids see Dr Porter. She’s been nothing but amazing. My son had really bad eczema on his face and no lotion would help, but Dr Porter prescribed him a specific lotion and it worked wonders. She always listens to our concerns and never pushes any question/concern off. She’s amazing!
