Found him on Google. Impressed with his Military experience in Afghanistan. Even more impressed by his direct responses to my questions and simple plan for relieving the pain in my right hand. His squad of assistants made me feel like I was going to get more help than I could possibly expect. Their "rapid assessment" tool provided by Derek is perfect for a self-teaching sports and martial arts practitioner like myself. Provides the plan for self-therapy that an aging body with a low budget can afford to do at home. Will definitely return and recommend to my aging friends.

The waiting room is spacious and entertaining by watching the exercising behind large glass panels.
The staff are very freindly.
Dr. MacLaren explained my condition and the treatment that made me feel good at doing the procedure.
Looking forward to having my surgery done to get back to my normal activities.
I drove all the way from Valrico to see Dr. MacLaren.

The staff was very courteous and helpful, explained everything well and even allowed me to use the phone to call the MRI office to make an appointment.

The first visit Dr. Maclaren made several promises that he would take care of me and "treat me like the big guys in the NFL are treated."
The second visit, we reviewed MRI and scheduled follow up.
The third visit, after waiting an hour, Dr. Maclaren came in for 30 seconds and told me there was nothing he could do for me.
Two takeaways: (1) I don't think he would have given up on one of "the big guys in the NFL" that easily, meaning he squelched on his promise and (2) Why did he waste my time scheduling a third appointment when there was no new information?

seen by 3 staff before Dr MacLaren appeared. All were super friendly, communicated well, and thorough. Dr. MacLaren took a lot of time describing my shoulder injury and what were the options and prognosis for each. He even took model of shoulder to further explain my injury as well as show actual pictures of the surgical procedure he had recently completed on another patient. He was very professional but at the same time very personable in seemed genuinely concerned. I left office feeling very confident of his skill as well as the staff competency. Office staff also very friendly and thorough.

The news was not happy for me, but I really trust Dr. MacLaren, and he has recommended a course of treatment that I think will be very beneficial for me. He has done surgery on my mom and my daughter, also. We love him.

This was my initial consultation with Dr. MacLaren for a shoulder problem. I found the office staff to be very attentive, friendly, and efficient. Wait time was minimal after I completed my paperwork. Dr. MacLaren spent ample time with me in evalutation and asked probing questions to learn as much about the problems. They took x-rays and were very quick about processing and explaining the stories of what the x-ray revealed. I feel very confident moving forward with additional treatments with Dr. MacLaren and know I will be well taken care of.
When researching the Dr. I saw both the favorable and not so favorable reviews. If you are on the fence because of any unfavorable reviews I urge you to make the appt. I was glad I did and am sure you will be too.
