About Maggie Chen

Hi, my name is Maggie. I have worked as a dietitian since 2019, and the majority of my experiences are in renal care, nursing homes and community settings. As a renal dietitian, I have worked closely with nurses, social workers, and nephrologists to support end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients who depend on dialysis to sustain their lives and achieve the best quality of life they can have. I also have extensive experience working in nursing homes and community settings, where I’ve cared for elderly patients with complex nutritional needs. In my role, I’ve observed that many of my patients' challenges stem from chronic inflammation, often caused by long-term imbalances in diet, sleep, physical exercise, and/or stress management. These issues rarely arise from a single factor but rather the result of multiple interconnected influences. For example, poor dietary habits can exacerbate inflammation, while the lack of sleep and emotional stress can further weaken the body’s ability to heal. I also understand that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to diet and health. Each individual comes from a unique background, with different cultural, emotional, and physical needs. Some individual may require strict dietary restrictions due to their medical conditions, while others may benefit more from gradual manageable changes. My philosophy as a dietitian is to meet you where you are and support you in building habits that improve your quality of life without the stress of perfection. If you’re ready to take the next step in your health journey, I’d love to work with you!
