Dr. Amir devotes her knowledge and part of her life to her career, with an educational background that includes a Doctor of Medicine from Ahvaz Jondishapour University of Medical Sciences. She completed an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by two separate residency trainings in Obstetrics and Gynecology-one at UCLA and another at Tulane University-demonstrating her deep compassion and commitment.

I got there 20 minutes early and waited 1.5 hours to be seen. Once was shown into a room, I waited another 10 minutes before she finally came in. When she did, she interrupted me with assumptions on why I was there, as there was nothing on the intake forms) and wouldn't let me finish before telling me to lay down for examination. Once she inserted the examination piece lathered with lube into me, I immediately felt a burning sensation and told her. She told me, "It's ok, I'm going to be done soon." I told her again that it was burning and I think I'm allergic to whatever lube she used. She ignored me. After she was done, she said she's going to test me for herpes because that's where this rash is probably coming from (instead of the lube I just said felt like a burn). I didn't have any rash before this visit. She tried prescribing herpes meds for the "lesions" but couldn't describe where they were, what they looked like, or how many. Never again. My actual problem was never addressed.

Omgggg I LOVED ITT!!! The lady at the front desk was sooo sweet, nice and helpful. The doctor payed attention to me and was so nice and patient. My own opinion, I liked how the check up (u know where) was quick and simple. But that’s my own opinion. Definitely go check these ladies out!!!!! Loved them ;)

Dr. Amir is a very capable, kind and knowledgeable doctor, however I felt like the visit was rushed and over far too fast. I didn't feel like she asked enough questions or really took her time with examining me. That said I do feel like I'm in good hands and I will be going back to see her again.

I visited Dr. Amirgholami today for the first time after my appointment was rescheduled by the office due to an unexpected surgery. The office clerks were busy calling other appointments to reschedule, but what should have been a stessful situation and environment was the exact opposite. Everyone in the office was very helpful, friendly, and swift. Dr. Amirgholami saw me with little wait time and she was personable and seemed genuinely interested in my care. Despite her time constraints, she made me feel like she had all the time in the day for me. Great unexpected experience!

I had to wait extra because the team seemed to be on lunch and it took them an extra 15 minutes to come back. In addition to that, I spent another 45 minutes in the waiting room though I could understand since it was packed. The waiting room was rather small and everyone had to sit really close to each other. To their credit, it was decorated well. The doctor saw me for what seemed like 2 minutes and I didn't feel connected to her at all. I've been to other OBGYNs and remembered noticing how fast this procedure was compared to others. After that, I had to go downstairs to get change at an ATM because they don't accept credit cards or debit cards in their office. When I came back, the receptionist was loudly talking about my information in the lobby which I'm sure violated my HIPAA. She ultimately ended up determining how many months of refills I got instead of the doctor which I also thought was strange. I don't think I would be coming back any time soon.

I had a fabulous experience with Dr. Amirgholami! She was very knowledgeable, kind and patient. I made my appointment and confirmed it on Zocdoc.com and filled out a long health history, like an H&P. It was a terrific paperless system - Eco-friendly! The Dr. also asked me a few questions about my recent health history in the office and refilled my HRT Rx without a problem. I'll be coming back.

Office staff was very friendly. The doctor performed a Pap smear on me, but was not very welcoming and was extremely rushed. I didn't get to ask the questions that I wanted because she was so quick to finish with me. When having a procedure done that is uncomfortable for any woman, you would think the doctor would have a bit more compassion...

i Highly recommend dr. amir. she is really educated and patient to listen to all detail. i was been take care by her nurse t get all my history and symptoms and after dr, amir she already knew all my history before come and visit me and i did not need to repeat it again, even her office was busy but she spend time to visit me and take care of every thing and answer all my question and i loved her office staff . they take care of my authorization and contact my insurance and help me with all detail and Guide me to how to do everything to fix problem with my insurance i really recommend her and her office staff, thanks dr amir

The nurse practitioner was nice but Dr. Amirgholami was incredibly rude. I had a horrible experience. The doctor seemed not to want to listen to my symptoms, she glanced inside me for less than two seconds, looked up and said everything looks fine. I have to go to another doctor now because my symptoms have not gone away. There were no other patients waiting so I don't know what the rush was. Everyone working in the office had a cold and the doctor wiped her runny nose on her latex glove while she was examining me. When the doctor left the room I was still undressed in the stirrups on the table and she left the door WIDE open. She realized and walked back and lightly tapped the door more shut but still not all the way. I never saw her again. Luckily there were no patients in the waiting room to see. I was still mortified. And one other thing- something strange: There is a hypnotist who has her own room in the office and the nurse practitioner came into the exam room while I was waiting for the doctor- she tried to get me to sign up to see the hypnotist because she said she knew my insurance would cover 10 sessions. The hypnotist specializes in pregnancy and I am not having a baby but the nurse said I might as well go since it's covered. It felt very unsavory to me. Although the nurse and receptionist were very nice and even the hypnotist who gave me her pitch was nice, I would never come back here or recommend this doctor to anyone.
