Dr. Rahman, M.D. provides OB/GYN healthcare with an interest in obstetrics, gynecology, primary care, and infertility.
Dr. Rahman joined Plaza OB/GYN Associates in August 2016. She received her medical training and completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Throughout her training, she was a recipient of numerous awards including serving as Administrative Chief Resident in her senior year.
Originally from India, Dr. Rahman grew up in the Middle East before her family moved permanently to the United States. Fluent in Hindi, Urdu, and French, she always had keen interest interacting with different cultures due to her upbringing and is looking forward to providing care to Houston’s diverse population.
She is interested in providing care related to obstetrics, gynecology, primary care, and infertility. Currently transitioning from her move from Dallas, Dr. Rahman enjoys traveling, volunteering, photography, and discovering Houston.

I like Dr. Rahman! It’s the office staff that make me not want to see her again. My first visit and my first impression of the front desk person was that she was not professional. I had issues with someone scheduling appointments for me that I didn’t make and the office staff seemed to get upset with me. Dr. Rahman’s nurse was great. She was professional, caring and comforting both visits I made. Dr. Rahman was also professional caring and comforting. I have a regular ob I have seen for years but wanted to find someone closer to my house Dr. Rahman made me feel like I had made a great decision picking her I just have issues with the office staff.

The doctor reviewed results from my PCP and stated that I could wait a year to see if the results changed or perform a biopsy to verify. Once I received the biopsy results, she said they came back fine and that I should wait a year and see if my results changed. No point of doing the biopsy other than feeding the medical system.

If you're not pregnant don't come here, you will receive poor service all around. I have been waiting for test results and a prescription. Keep calling they say a nurse will call...still hasn't.

The front office staff was very nice, and I waited about 20 minutes. Once I got into the patient room, I waited about 15 minutes for Dr. Rahman to see me. When she entered, she seemed perfectly nice, courteous, and very professional. As others before me have mentioned, she is very young, so I was a bit apprehensive. Well, she spent a total of about 10 minutes overall with me, and that included addressing all of my concerns, which were very serious. Taking that little a time to do an examination after I tell you my concerns and then simply saying you will refer me is not very good bedside manner. Once she was done examining me, she said goodbye and handed me my paperwork and sent me to go get blood work done. At this point, I did not know who or if she was referring me to another physician, I assumed she would give the information to the discharge nurse. Once I was discharged, I asked the nurses where I was getting referred to, and they had no clue. They asked me what the doctor said, (really?!) and once I told them they scrambled to give me orders. They said to call the number at the top to schedule an appointment with the other doctor. Well, when I looked at the number at the top, it only had Dr. Rahman's business information, nothing about where they were referring me to. I had to ask them to give me the name of the business and their number, so I could call. Once I was discharged and left, I called the other place only to find out that the nurses had given me a fax machine number. I had to call the nurses from the garage, which you have to pay $7 for parking, and be placed on hold just to get the right number. Once I got out, the machine said I had surpassed the time limit, so I had to pay an additional $7 parking. Wow! Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment. They are all over the place, extremely disorganized.
