More about Makenzie Lindauer, RN, MSN
MaKenzie started her nursing career in the NICU and then at Riley Hospital on the Cardiac Step Down ICU. She was involved with many chronic patients and took a specific interest in pediatric cardiac transplant. MaKenzie transitioned to her nurse practitioner career at a pediatric urgent care in Muncie IN. She then moved to Evansville IN and began her journey in the ER for Children, at a level 1 trauma center. She loved being there to help families on the worst day of their lives, bringing a little bit of hope for them. While in the ER, she was involved in a number of committees to help standardize care, improve patient care and grow the pediatric population. As a provider, MaKenzie would treat acutely ill to chronically ill children and admit them as needed. She was able to make connections with families and trusting relationships with fellow pediatric providers. She really values the importance of holistic health care and being aware of the entire family, not just the child.
MaKenzie and her family then moved to Minnesota where she currently works in a pediatrician’s office part-time. This is where her love for telemedicine grew and she joined Erin in her journey with Virtu30. MaKenzie values all different family dynamics and is thrilled she can still help children thrive from the comfort of their homes. Whether it is your healthy child needing a physical or an acute illness, she will be there to give you her attention, compassion and expertise.
MaKenzie is a mom of two young children and married to her husband Andrew. When she is not working she loves to explore (especially her new state), hike, spend time with her family aka chase her children around and attend church.
