Dr. Rungta seemed really busy on Wednesday morning. However, in the past, when necessary, he took the time to speak with me and explain everything so I could understand it. I'm in maintenance mode right now and really just needed my prescription refilled so I didn't have any questions. There were probably other patients who needed his time much more than I did on Wednesday.

Manish Rungta is a qualified and capable gastroenterologist serving the community of Pearland, Houston, and Webster, TX. Dr. Rungta attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. Dr. Rungta continued his training by completing a fellowship in in gastroenterology at the Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Rungta is a part of Bay Area Gastroenterology. Dr. Rungta is board certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Rungta’s clinical interests include all areas of clinical gastroenterology, therapeutic endoscopy, ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound. He has treated and managed a diverse range of medical dysfunctions and is committed to providing the best comprehensive medical care available.

Dr. Rungta is great at what he does, however, it was the wait that was ridiculous! The office opens at 8am, and my appointment was for 8:30, and I arrived at 8:10 to sign in and complete and paperwork. I chose this time because typically you are seen faster in the the morning. The staff was very polite, and clearly working hard, but I didn't get called to the front desk until 9:00 and then wasn't seen by the doctor until 9:20am!!! Nearly 1 hour after my scheduled appointment. The staff and doctor were great but the wait might make me rethink coming here again

Dr. Rungta is a very quiet person to me. He is , I hear really outgoing and funny/friendly with his peers. With me, Dr. Rungta is very matter of fact. Looks at the facts, pulls no punches and tells you when and what side effects there are to my current treatment then states well, you have chosen this treatment, so deal with the side effects even though you and the doctor both know there isn't another treatment available at this time. It's like he intends to make me feel guilty about my current treatment. I'm always relieved to leave his office and apprehensive about having to make an appointment, because I don't want to listen to his negativity, but it's the only way I can get refills. I don't want to have problems or feel bad, but I get the impression that it's my fault that I have problems. I didn't cause the problems I've got to unfortunately deal with. These problems are aquired due to the severe illness with multiple hospitalizations over the past 2 1/2 years. I want to get stronger and better. I don't want to be back in any hospital for any reason!!
