Dr. Thakkar was very patient and kind and took her time. She asked a lot of questions and really seemed like she wanted to find answers for us. My 16-year-old daughter was rather hesitant about seeing a pediatrician, but after the appointment she was glad she did - she really liked Dr. Thakkar!

Dr. Manisha Thakkar has been residing in Chandler and practicing as a Pediatrician in the East Valley for the last five years.
Dr. Thakkar did her residency training at Devos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan – affiliated with Michigan State University. After completing her internship and residency training, she joined a private practice in Monroe, Michigan. She served the community by providing inpatient and outpatient care.
In 2006, Dr. Thakkar found an opportunity to move to East Valley and joined Desert Pediatric Hospitalists group. As a hospitalist, she provided care to newborns and sick patients at Banner Desert, Banner Gateway, Banner Baywood, Chandler Regional Hospital and Mercy Gilbert Hospitals.
In 2008, Dr. Thakkar became self-employed and has offered her services as an outpatient Pediatrician to many East Valley pediatric offices. Over the last five years she has developed relationships with several specialties in East Valley whom she consults and refers her patients.
In May 2011, Dr. Thakkar opened her own office in order to provide continuity ofcare and attention to her patients and their families. Being a Mom with two kids, she understands a child’s overall well being is key to their long term wellness. She devotes one-on-one time to each and every patient and their family in her practice, to understand their concerns and educate them for a healthy future.
Dr. Thakkar is fluent in English and several languages – Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati – from her native India. Her staff is fluent in English and Spanish as well. When she is not pursuing her first passion, Pediatrics, she loves to play with her kids (hang out as a teenager). She also loves to choreograph cultural dancing and painting.

Very nice atmosphere & staff. Dr Thakkar was very professional, she spoke to my son like a young adult-she made him feel at ease. Some doctors only speak to the parents as if the child cannot comprehend anything. Great office! Would highly recommend.

Dr. Thakkar is a very pleasant woman. She was professional as well as personal, she asked how my son like school and how he was performing - not health related but it made me realize she cares for a child's whole being. After the trip to the doctor my son I asked my son if he was still scared of doctors and he said no.
