When I booked, zocdoc said he took my insurance. Then I received a call from his assistant or receptionist who informed me that he does not take my insurance and that his consultation would cost me.
It was a quick 30 min FaceTime call in which I answered a few basic questions. At the end of the call I was offered medication which I felt was hasty considering we had only just met. I also felt uncomfortable paying through Zelle. My regular therapist uses a secure platform for scheduling and sessions. It did not feel professional.
