Dr. Montanez grew up in South Texas, specifically McAllen, TX where she escaped from the heat most summers to on of her favorite places, South Padre Island. She didn't move to far from the heat having done her medical school in the state of Arizona at Still University. She then moved to complete her OBGYN residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in New York. During her final year she was awarded chief resident.
Dr. Montanez grew up in a Spanish speaking family and has continued to speak fluently. She is excited to be able to utilize this skill here in Houston.
She enjoys her free time with family and friends and her rescue poodle. She also likes to travel with her husband but most importantly like to get back to her Texas roots.
