Maria Douros and her staff (Mia) were extremely friendly and very genuine. It was a quick appointment but I feel like so much was accomplished and I am looking forward to my next visit with Maria.

Dr. Douros was great! I made a last minute appt for an issue that I was having. She saw me right away. She explained what the issue was, how to treat it and what the options were from there. I felt very comfortable and informed and like someone was finally listening and understanding.

Dr. Maria J. Douros was born and raised in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago. Her dream of becoming a physician led her to Washington University in Saint Louis where she pursued the pre medicine track.
In 1998 she graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences with a double major in Spanish Literature and Biology. She was accepted to medical school at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998 where she attended until 2000. She then transferred to Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downer’s Grove, Illinois where she earned her medical degree in 2002. She completed the La Grange Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in 2005.
Dr. Douros is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Her training includes pediatrics, women’s health, adult medicine, and geriatrics. In addition, Dr. Douros has trained in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She has experience in treating patients manually with chronic or new onset of neck pain, back pain, rib pain and sacral pain along with other musculoskeletal ailments.

Dr. Douros is fabulous! I would recommend her to anyone! She is very friendly, polite and professional. Today was my first visit and being diabetic and having a few health issues I was a little worried but she seemed to have it all under control and was very confident and competent, she answered all of my questions and we are already working on a plan for my diabetes management, on top of her professionalism, her warming and reassuring personality gave me even more motivation to get healthier. The wait was less than 5 minutes and everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. It simply was a very pleasant experience and I know my health is in good hands.
