Dr. Maribel Monroe completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Before the residency she worked at the Neuroendocrine Laboratory at the National Institute of Health in Washington D.C., doing research between obesity, stress and hormones.
Dr. Monroe has been practicing gynecological surgery for 14 years in Las Vegas, NV. Seven years ago, she was introduced to bioidentical hormones. This was at the time when new research pointed out the dangers of synthetic hormones.
Today’s’ woman is subjected to an inordinate amount of stress through all stages of her life. Societal pressures during puberty, through the financially difficult child bearing years, then later a stressful perimenopausal period and postmenopausal years are made more difficult, with the process of aging. Family, financial pressures and relationship issues make it even more difficult to maintain a healthy mind and body.
