Born and raised in El Salvador, Central America.

He Graduated from Universidad Alberto Maferrer in August, 2001 and completed his residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, Saint Peter’s University Hospital where he also served one year as Chief resident.
He has accumulated several years of experience in Acute hospital care (hospitalist) with direct care of Intensive Care patients and has particular interest in the management of patients both in and out of the hospital with the purpose of preventing gaps in patient supervision or fragmented care.
In the outpatient setting he has particular interest in the management of Diabetes, weight loss, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, prevention of coronary artery disease, and smoking related disorders including COPD, Coronary and Peripheral Vascular Disease.
Dr. Pereira has lived in south Florida since 2009, has a modern and motivated style of practice by providing a structured and goal oriented management to his patients.
