She was very warm and made me feel very at ease, and spared no effort in providing me with solutions and next steps. I am excited to have her as my primary care doctor now!

Marisa Jayakar, MD, knew she wanted to be a doctor at a young age because she wanted to make a positive impact on people. After graduating from Stanford University with a degree in human biology, she attended University of Los Angeles for medical school and discovered her passion for primary care.
Marisa returned to the Bay Area to complete the Stanford Family Medicine Residency Program. She also completed the Stanford Primary Care Sports Medicine Program, where she cared for patients ranging from weekend warriors to Division I college athletes, and completed training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and injections.
With board certification in both family and sports medicine, Marisa is uniquely suited to provide primary care services to her patients. She strongly believes in Carbon Health's philosophy of providing exceptional, accessible, and inclusive healthcare to all, and aims to use her expertise to help her Carbon Health community lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

I am a new patient, and I was impressed by the office. After filling out the necessary paperwork I was taken back to the treatment room right away. Actually, I got there 15 minutes early and they took pretty much when I got there. Dr. Jayakar was very attentive and listened to my issues without rushing me along. when it came to get lab work done rather than having to go down to the laboratory, she was able to do it right there in the exam room which was a first for me anywhere. She told me that as long as it was done before 5:00pm they could take blood in the exam room. Otherwise, it would have to be in the laboratory. Overall, my first experience with Dr. Jayakar was a great experience and I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Marissa Jayakar and her staff are truly amazing! She is a knowledgeable, kind, patient, wonderful physician. I am a 53 year-old female and have seen a variety of doctors in my time. I am in good health, but wanted to establish a relationship with a new primary physician. No regrets, I know I am in good hands with Dr. Jayakar. She explained everything to me very well, listened to my concerns, her office is perfectly clean, her staff is wonderful, she did my lab work onsite and was very respectful of my time. Five stars!

Five stars for the doctor, 1 star for Zocdoc
This doctor's office is fantastic!
However, the Zocdoc system doesn’t integrate flawlessly with this doctor's office; I suggest Zocdoc focus more effort on handing the data I input to the provider. In addition, Zocdoc should hire some people to verify flawless user experience. This will mean less cash for shareholders though.

I used Zocdoc to speak a therapist about depression. Instead, I was sent to a drs office that prescribes medication and attempted to check my vitals.
Now I’m back to square one with no one to help

Great experience! Dr. Jayakar and Tatyana were amazing. Dr. Jayakar was very kind and understanding. She explained everything to me before anything, so I understood what she was going to check and why. I’m usually super nervous to draw blood, but Tatyana was so caring and made the whole process incredibly easy! I’m so thankful to have found them!
