I have been a patient of Dr. Austerlitz on & off for a few years. He has also treated my son & husband. What separates him is that he gives you the time you need in your visit. He makes sure you understand all the results (diagnostic exams) and follows thru with care. I've seen other orthos. He is by far the best.

In an era of impersonal and hurried medical care, I strive to provide each of my patients a thorough evaluation of their orthopedic problem, as well as adequate time to answer their questions and to establish a personalized treatment plan aimed at returning them to the highest level of function possible.
As a non-operating orthopedic surgeon, yet with years of prior operating room experience, I am uniquely positioned to evaluate patients across a broad array of musculoskeletal problems without any surgical inducements; yet in those instances when surgical management is the best option, then my close relationships with orthopedic sub specialists allow me to direct each patient to the surgeon I feel would best manage his/her specific need.
