I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Cinnamon. He has been the most amazing, responsive, knowledgable, and (for lack of a better term) wait-less doctor that I have ever seen. I cannot now imagine seeing anyone else for primary care. And I won't.

Dr. Mark I. Cinnamon graduated with degrees from the Ohio State University and the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He performed his Internal Medicine residency and a year of a Cardiology fellowship at the George Washington University Hospital and was board qualified in 1976.
Dr. Cinnamon has served on many hospital committees including the Board of Trustees at the Washington Hospital Center. He is a member of The American College of Physicians and the American Diabetes Association, among others.
A solo practitioner almost his whole career, Dr. Cinnamon has chosen to keep his practice size limited in order to provide truly individualized care to each and every patient that walks through his door. As a general internist, Dr. Cinnamon is interested in all areas of adult medicine, though he maintains special interests in cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol problems. He is knowledgeable in the treatment of psychological disorders including depression and anxiety. He has been recognized multiple times as one of the top internists in the Washington, D.C. area by Washingtonian Magazine. Dr. Cinnamon is a senior attending and consulting physician at the Washington Hospital Center, the George Washington University Hospital and Sibley Memorial Hospital. He is licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

I came in for allergy test, due to an allergic reaction I had while out eating and he only wanted to test me on a couple allergies. I explained to Dr. Cinnamon that this was my first time having an allergic reaction and his response was there no need do a full allergy test, just only a shrimp and other test will do; based off the food that caused the reaction. I was flabbergasted. I was looking for an in depth allergy consultation, not well tell me what you think you are allergic too and we will take those test only. Never again.

Dr. Cinnamon prescribed me a simple antibiotic, which had a high-level reaction with a common medication I was also taking. I found this out through the pharmacist. The doctor was not prompt in prescribing an alternative. I felt very unsafe in his care, and uncertain of his knowledge of common medication interactions.

Excellent, thorough visit as always. Dr. Cinnamon takes his time with the patient explaining every procedure, every test. He goes through the advantages and disadvantages of all medications and carefully analyzes the continuing effectiveness of each. The patient is treated with utmost respect. Unlike many physicians, Dr. Cinnamon actually listens to the patient and takes into account the patient's concerns.
