Professional statement

**For New Patients, once your appointment is booked through Zocdoc, our front office staff will need to be in direct contact with you. This needs to happen within 2 business days of booking the appointment. Due to our office policy, unfortunately, if this does not happen, your appointment will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding in advance.** Dr. Gloss attended Medical School at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and graduated in 1994. He completed his medical internship at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, and then completed his psychiatric residency at Mclean Hospital in Belmont, MA, in 1998. Mark R. Gloss, MD is the first private psychiatrist in the Boston Massachusetts area to offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy for the treatment of depression. He loves tropical fish, classical music and technology and is very dedicated to his work and patients. He has been in private practice for more than fifteen years. He always is looking for the best treatments that are available to treat his patients. He is especially mindful of those who have the hardest time with treatment resistant psychiatric conditions, that require more than the typical level of treatment. This is why he has acquired the technology for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). He was the first private psychiatrist in the Boston area to offer TMS Therapy for the treatment of a multitude of psychiatric conditions. He is pleased to make it available to his patients, and also offers this therapy as an adjunct to the services of other practitioners in the area.

Messy, disorganized office and very odd demeanor. Support staff were super nice, though

Even though we met at 6am, Dr. Gloss was professional and patient as we discussed my reason for visiting. Looking forward to my next appointment, which I have never before said about a doctor's appointment of any type.

Dr. Gloss was very professional and straight to the point. He provided detailed information about my diagnosis and treatment. He was the first doctor to come up with a creative solution to my issues, which I appreciated. It would have beennice if he had explained more about the reading information he provided, because it was lengthy) and I'm not sure it all pertained to me.

A bit messy in the office, and the fish tank was kind of gross. But the doctor was wonderful!

Listened to me without interrupting. Made thoughtful remarks. Was empathetic and even provided me educational packet. I felt like we were trying to collaborate rather than he just dish out instructions that I follow like a robot. He also providedhis honest thoughts and actually made me feel like I could be better. This is just my first impression.

Very approachable, kind and knowledgeable. What a difference compared to some other psychiatrists! He asked pointed, efficient questions without giving me the feeling that he was going down a list or checking boxes -- it still was very conversational and pleasant.

I thought his office was a bit messy, but I liked him very much as a psychiatrist.
