Dr. Jacobson treats a broad variety of orthopedic patients and conditions. Dr. Jacobson is fellowship trained in Hand and his practice includes the care of fractures, sports injuries, hand injuries and joint reconstruction. He performs total hip replacement and total knee replacement as well as total elbow replacement, joint replacement at the base of the thumb and in the fingers. He also performs arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and knee. He treats patients for traumatic injuries as well as arthritis and chronic injuries including carpal tunnel syndrome and overuse tendonitis of the forearm and elbow.
Dr. Jacobson grew up in La Mesa, California and returned to his home town to practice at Alvarado Orthopedic Medical Group in 1997. He is a general orthopedic surgeon who obtained specialty training through a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery. He is on staff at Alvarado Hospital, Sharp Grossmont Hospital, Sharp Coronado Hospital and San Diego Outpatient Surgery Center.

I was very impressed. The staff was very efficient and got me in right away. The doctor was very informative & knowledgeable. He explaines in great detail my injury and my options. Upon choosing a surgical procedure for my fracture, the staff got my insurance authorization very quickly & I was scheduled w/in 2 days. My follow up appts have been just as smooth. I feel I was very well taken care of.

I was experiencing accur hard pain was able to get in the next day. Dr. Jacobson was able to diagnose the problem immediately. I was given an injection & felt better the next day. Exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Dr. Jacobson.
