Very matter-of-fact. Seems highly knowledgeable and he was able to identify issues quickly. I have further appointments with him and possibly will update the review if things change.
Be prepared to wait at the front office (not a long time though). It is usually packed.

Dr. Mark Mikulics is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in microsurgery of the hand, and injuries to the upper extremities. He has been practicing for over 16 years, and performs surgeries at Coast Surgery Center, a leader in cutting edge orthopedic arthroscopic surgery.
He received his undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from the University of California, Riverside in 1981 and his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.) in 1984. From U.C.L.A., Dr. Mikulics went on to complete his internship in general surgery, and residencies in orthopedic research and orthopedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania from 1986-1989. He then participated in a year-long fellowship to further specialize in hand and microsurgery at U.C.S.D.
Dr. Mikulics resides in Poway with his wife and children.

Ridiculous! Don't waste your time with this doctor and his staff. I showed up on time for a late morning appointment. Waiting room was packed and people were even standing outside. Receptionist said doctor was "running an hour late", but that estimate could not possibly be accurate since not a single name had been crossed off the registration list that was started at the beginning of the day. Since receptionist had nothing to do except sit and give false information, I wonder why she did not use her time to call patients and let them know that the doctor would not be able to see them without a long wait and give them the option to reschedule. As as added bonus, this person seemed to think that SHE was the one who was being inconvenienced by the delay. Obviously this office (and presumably, the doctor, since he sets the tone for the office) cares nothing for patients and thinks their time is not valuable.
