After moving from Russia with his family in the early 1990s Dr. Mark Schneider was raised in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Schneider joined Atlanta Heart Specialists after completing his Internal Medicine, General, and Interventional Cardiology training at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. There he served as a Chief Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine and authored several textbook chapters on coronary interventional procedures and participated in quality outcomes research for cardiac catheterization.
Dr. Schneider has a special interest in complex coronary intervention including surgical turndowns, left main stenting, coronary atherectomy, chronic total occlusion intervention, and advanced coronary imaging techniques.
Dr Schneider is also board certified in adult echocardiography and has a special interest in valvular heart disease and is proficient in 3D TEE (transesophageal echocardiograms), transthoracic echocardiography, vascular ultrasound and nuclear stress testing.
