A native of Brighton Beach, Dr. Mark H. Tannenbaum earned his M.D. at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After completing an Ophthalmology Residency at the Bronx Lebanon Medical Center, he completed a fellowship specializing in Glaucoma at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he trained with the outstanding clinician and researcher Dr. Carl B. Camras.
With over 20 years of clinical experience as a Physician and as an Ophthalmologist, Dr. Tannenbaum is committed to providing caring and comprehensive patient care. Since 2001, Dr. Tannenbaum has served as an Associate Adjunct Surgeon and Attending Ophthalmologist at the General Eye and Glaucoma Clinics at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary Hospital of The Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center. In addition to this distinction, Dr. Tannenbaum has been affiliated with the Jofe Eye Institute since 2003.
A careful examiner and diagnostician, Dr. Tannenbaum specializes both in medical glaucoma evaluation and treatment, as well as in General Ophthalmology, with special interests in red eye, blepharitis, dry eye, conjunctivitis, and eye trauma. In addition to providing expert-level care, Dr. Tannenbaum takes the necessary and appropriate time to converse with every patient. Fluent in several languages, Dr. Tannenbaum makes the effort to acquaint himself with the most common languages of his patients.

Do not go to this Dr. they did all kinds of tests but the Dr. never looked at my eyes. The techs did all the testing the Dr. just told me I needed some kind of procedure done which was a lie. I went to my Dr. that I have seen in years and he said I did not need the procedure.
