He is warm, he listened to every single concern and most importantly he cared! A lot of doctors make you feel kind of crazy when you talk about multiple issues but he really wanted to get to the root of the issue! I’ve already recommended him to a few friends!

More about Dr. Martin Hernandez, MD
Dr. Hernandez completed three degrees from the University of Arizona: A Bachelor’s in Cultural Anthropology, a Masters in Public Health with an emphasis in Community Health and a Doctor of Medicine.
He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Phoenix Baptist Hospital. In 2003, he was the recipient of the Brazie Award for outstanding second year resident in Arizona. In 2004, he received the Grobe Award for outstanding third year resident in Arizona and also served as chief resident for his class.
After residency, Dr. Hernandez was in private practice for 11 years. He was voted Top Doctor in Family Medicine by Phoenix Magazine in 2006, 2009, 2013 and 2014. He also served as Ambulatory Faculty Physician for St. Joseph Family Medicine Program 2015 to 2017. He is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Hernandez is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is soon to be board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. Hernandez is dedicated to helping patients improve their overall health and wellness.
His specialty is using Lifestyle Medicine to prevent and reverse lifestyle related disease including diabetes and obesity both in men and women.

Being able to trust is essential to excellent care from a physician.
When asked direct questions about being dishonest with me on several occasions recently as his patient, he becomes very defensive and vindictive.
States he is 100% certain he soon will not be practicing medicine and that all his patients will need to find another PCP sooner rather than later. He is unable to give any reason why he has just moved to new group and accepting new patients except some vague reference to doing something different but not family medicine and refers to talks with other providers about what he is going to do that is not family medicine.
I am a long time patient of 10 years as well as an RN and none of this makes any sense to me.
I have never given this doctor a negative review and have afforded him multiple opportunities to help me understand why he is not going to practice medicine and why all patients need to get a new PCP while he is accepting new patients now.
I have in the past highly recommended him to others but can no longer do so.
I just don’t want any other patient to experience what I have.
I have been able to verify that he was hired as far back as June to practice family medicine even though he says that he is 100% sure he is not going to do anything connected with medicine
He has posts and videos and blogs on many sites where he believes he has a worldwide following, and aspires to speaking and creating wellness worldwide. This would include a video on Instagram just recently where he talked about being so great and being the 1 and only Dr Hernandez.
The most amazing thing is he wanted to know if I still trusted him and still want to hear him speak as he as often said he would like me to.
What I truly want is for someone to help this man see that this is not an appropriate was to use your God given gift of being called a physician. My chart has been made to appear that I have been non compliant with his recommendations which he knows is not true at all. I believe it is an attempt to discredit me.
