Dr. Martin Naughton is a board certified physician, surgeon, and teacher in the fields of gynecology, gynecologic surgery, and urogynecology. He is known as a leader in his fields throughout Nevada and California and has lectured throughout the United States.
He trained at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and has practiced in Reno, NV for thirty-three years. During his career, he delivered well over 2400 babies but is no longer practicing obstetrics.
Additionally, as a clinical professor with the University of Nevada School of Medicine, he enjoys volunteering time to supervise young medical students in their training.
He has extensive experience with minimally invasive surgery, including robotics. These procedures are used to treat problems such as pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. This allows the majority of his surgical patients to return home the same day, even following major surgery. In addition, he is one of the first gynecological surgeons to be trained in the new single incision hysterectomy technique.
