I knew I wanted to be in the medical field at a young age and joined the Army National Guard as a field medic shortly after high school. I earned my Associate’s degree from Eastern New Mexico University, my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Family Health Nursing from Grand Canyon University. I've worked as an RN since 2000 and seek to empower patients to advocate for their own health, providing education as one way to support them. I love the field of nursing and the interactions and relationships I have developed along the way. That passion drove me to continue my training to become a family nurse practitioner.
I have a very supportive husband and am a mom to three amazing young adults. I encourage them to reach their full potential with integrity and strive to lead by example. I love spending time with my husband, kids, and extended family. I also enjoy cooking, painting, and walking my dog.
My experience as a nurse has taught me to understand the individual perspectives and needs of patients and to encourage them to be active participants in their own care. As a provider, I continue my passion for developing trusting relationships with my patients and providing them with resources and encouragement to reach their personal holistic health goals.
