Mary Rigoni earned her undergraduate nursing degree and her graduate nursing degree in midwifery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has been a practicing midwife for the past four years and joined NSAGO in November 2017. Mary is Board Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board. She is an active member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and volunteers on the board of their Illinois chapter. Mary brings to patients her belief in the importance of access to safe, respectful care for women and their children, and the value of shared decision making in healthcare. Mary’s interests are in obstetrics, gynecology, and family planning. She has a particular interest in supporting low-intervention birth and lactation support.
