The receptionists kind of made me feel like they didn’t care or had something better to do, weren’t rude or anything just very little eye contact and were laughing with each other. The doctor however was very nice, efficient and answered my questions.

Patients should check with their primary care physicians and insurances to see if referrals are needed for consultations with a GYN specialist. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. Please complete the insurance and medical history information before the appointment. Unfortunately, procedures can not be performed at the same visit as the office consultation or initial visit. Ultrasounds are not performed in the office. Dr Schlotterer’s philosophy is to integrate medical science with an accessible and informal approach to better aid woman in medical decision making. She strives to give women, both young and old, evidence- based, effective treatments and age appropriate information. She uses traditional medical and surgical modalities, as well as natural or holistic approaches with newer and more innovated technologies.

This was actually a terrible experience. First, my appointment was scheduled days in advance but I had to wait over an hour past my appointment time to be seen. Second, none of the staff there (nurses, pas, etc) even worked in gynocology and they also stated that to me many times when I told them about my condition (They didn't even know what it was)! Finally when I was able to see the doctor she seemed nice and diagnosed me and explained what was happening and the solutions. Then I scheduled the follow up procedure a couple weeks later and come to find out my appointment was just cancelled because the doctor quit or got fired or something and NO ONE informed me of this until I called them to ask a question about the procedure the day before it was supposed to happen! I've never seen a more unprofessional doctors office than this.

The staff was very unprofessional. I schedule a same day appointment for a routine well woman exam but the system mark me as an established patient going in for an acUte issue and when I explained to her what I said to schedule the appointment it was very rude and even handed me a paper so I knew the difference between a preventative visit and a six. I thought that was uncalled for and definitely.

Overall, I felt like I was just an appointment they needed to clear and not a person. They weren't particularly rude, just very short. This is my first pregnancy so I guess I was expecting the nurses and doctor to be more detailed, let me ask questions, and maybe even seem slightly happy for me. Contrarily, they went through the motions and gave me some very basic information, then told me they would recommend me to another doctor at the end of my first trimester because they don't see patients after their first trimester. I was really confused! I will say they were very quick and she has lots of available appointments.

This was my 1st time here. I work in the downtown area so the location was perfect. Check in was a breeze,since I did ny paperwork online Dr. Schlotterer was great,she was informative and took the time to learn my history. I've already referred someone there. Oh & making an appointment was so easy. I went on zocdoc & saw she had an opening in less than 2 days! My old Dr's office couldn't get me for 2 weeks. I'm transferring my records over to Dr. Schlotterer's office.

I was the only patient in the waiting room and it took 20 min for me to get called back. The doctor also stated when she walked in that she was sick and would try not to get me sick. She seemed very interested in getting in and out and not talking about my concerns. I hope I don't get sick.

Although I? made the appointment with Dr. Mary Schlotterer, I? was seen by a PA who was shadowed by Dr. Schlotterer. Very minimal exam, I? felt like it was just an in and out visit just to say the PA did an exam.
I? would not recommend this doctor, or go back there again myself.

Personally my experience wasn't terrible but it was a bit odd. I didn't feel that the office was very organized. I didn't fill out my medical history myself, instead I answered the questions aloud to the medical assistant. She wasn't properly trained on how to ask the questions so luckily a nurse practitioner happened to come in to listen and help her out. I felt like a practice patient and it was a little uncomfortable. When the questionnaire was over I was given my gown to change into and I was barely about to change when the Dr. barely knocked and then barged in as I was asking for another minute. She quickly closed the door again and once I was given a fair moment to change the Dr. came in again with her nurse practitioner student who ended up conducting the exam (which I wasn't told until it was happening). I just wish that I would have had some warning as to who would be examining me but again, I felt like a practice specimen without any warning. Lastly, she took off before asking me if I had any questions (which I did). Wasn't the best experience I've had, I would research before coming here.

The doctor was good - didn't really have any answers for me which I can understand.
The nurse was terrible. She wasn't personable at all. She wasn't listening to me. She asked the same questions multiple times and talked over me when I was answering her questions. She was starting to piss me off. I did not get her name.

I booked an appointment towards the end of the year, while I understand the nature of benefits and the busy nature of the season, a patient should not arrive before your office manager, or the doctor.
I sat outside of their office waiting for their team to show up, because it was so late into the year I didn't complain. However, upon entering into the clinic and meeting her staff I was not impressed.
I felt rushed out the door from the moment I arrived, there was lack of information & guidance from the doctor. But worst of all she actually said "pap smears are only necessary if you are having intercourse with men". Unbelieveable!
Do your research and stay away.

She didn't have any replacement Implanon and removed it from my arm before confirming she had no replacement. Left two huuuge scars, and doubted me when I said that I could feel everything. Also, I keep getting obnoxious emails from the "skin tightening" or general aesthetics side of her office. I didn't want to unsubscribe because I plan to have future visits but I just bit the bullet and decided I need a new OBGYN.
